Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Antonio Neumane may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. Edit Summaries[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe the changes you have made)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. 220 of Borg 01:53, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Referencing[edit]

Hello RichieRichNYC.
Please take a look at Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:Referencing for beginners with citation templates. Having a few linked sources at the end of an article, especially about a person (wp:BLP) such as at Enrique Gil Gilbert, even if deceased is far from ideal. Information such as author/s of source, date of writing, date of access, publisher, ISBN, ISSN etc, or similar, are important. Cites should be used for important facts such as birth /death dates and cause of death, or similar. I you have any questions about thing you can contact me on my 'talkpage' by clicking on 'Borg' in my signature.

Symbol opinion vote.svg- Please use edit summaries. In your preferences you can even activate 'drop down' lists of common edit summaries to use, you just have to click on the one you want. Regards, 220 of Borg 09:21, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Escogedoras de cafe.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Escogedoras de cafe.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:37, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Eugenia Viteri.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Eugenia Viteri.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:38, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Filoteo Samaniego, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spanish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Trieste Film Festival[edit]

Hello, RichieRichNYC, and thank you for your contributions!

An article you worked on Trieste Film Festival, appears to be directly copied from http://www.triestefilmfestival.it/en/storia-3/. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on Trieste Film Festival if necessary. MadmanBot (talk) 10:15, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Sebastian Cordero film director.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Sebastian Cordero film director.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Elia Antonio Liut.png[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Elia Antonio Liut.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

Leslie Wright (pianist)[edit]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Leslie Wright (pianist). The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:16, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Efraín Jara Idrovo[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Efraín Jara Idrovo has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Abraham Horwitz Award[edit]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Abraham Horwitz Award, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.pahef.org/en/ourwork/46/131-leadership-in-inter-american-health.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Speedy deletion nomination of Abraham Horwitz Award[edit]

Hello RichieRichNYC,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Abraham Horwitz Award for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. S.G.(GH) ping! 10:39, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:The Elvis Norton Musuem.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:The Elvis Norton Musuem.jpg.

Disambiguation link notification for November 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Julio Pazos Barrera, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Baños (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Between marx and a naked woman film.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Between marx and a naked woman film.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 00:46, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Hernán Crespo Toral[edit]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Hernán Crespo Toral, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.iccrom.org/eng/news_en/2008_en/various_en/03_27obitCrespoToral_en.shtml.

(If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 03:19, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Fernando Chaves[edit]

Hi, I'm Deejawwad. RichieRichNYC, thanks for creating Sergi Bellver!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. You can improve this article by providing an Infobox and adding relevant categories. The article also relies only on a single source so you also have to provide some other references too.

Following manual of style[edit]

Hi there, can you please see WP:REFPUNCT. When adding references, the punctuation goes before the ref tags, not after. I have tried to point this out to you numerous times, but I still have fix them in every article you create or edit. It may not seem like a big deal, but when you don't follow manual of style, it means other editors have to do extra work by going back and fixing them when they could be editing elsewhere. Thank you in advance. Cmr08 (talk) 04:22, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in José Daniel Santibáñez, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Cmr08 (talk) 02:59, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Octavio Cordero Palacios (Writer)[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Octavio Cordero Palacios (Writer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

completely unsourced.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 12:11, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
