Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Asia Pacific Football League has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't even have a website any more. Notable? Don't think so. No evidence.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. File source problem with File:Zedd2.jpg[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Zedd2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:42, 31 October 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 04:42, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Copyright problems[edit]

You have been told repeatedly that you cannot violate copyright in this article, and yet you have just done it again. You cannot copy or closely paraphrase previously published sources, even if these exist only in archive as this one does. You have already been blocked for copyright problems five times in the past. I have removed the content. If you continue with this practice, it will be necessary to block your account for a longer time, perhaps indefinitely. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:09, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

How am I suppose to save my article and give all the info needed if no one lets me give it? I have reworded it as best I can, what more do I need to do?

In terms of adding information, you have to put it completely in your own words. You can't copy or closely follow what others have previously said. But adding information from the primary source is not what you need to do anyway. The article was not deleted for lack of information, but because there were no reliable sources to verify that it met notability. What you should do, if you can, is find proof that the organization is notable by locating sources that were not published by or affiliated with the Asia Pacific Football League. With enough of those, there's no way the article will be deleted for notability concerns, even if it is brief. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:14, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

I have proof, the website and an article from a Dallas newspaper. What more do you want? Do you want me to round up Preston Pearson? Because that's the only thing else I can do.

The question isn't whether it existed; the question is whether it was notable. Generally notability is determined through the following criteria:
"A company, corporation, organization, school, team, religion, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject. A single independent source is almost never sufficient for demonstrating the notability of an organization."
The website is not proof that it was notable, as it is a self-published source. (What's wanted here are secondary sources.) The Dallas newspaper aricle may help, but as the guideline says a single independent source usually will not do it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:20, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Did you receive any other materials on the Asia Pacific Football League? The article got deleted while you were awaiting receipt of those, but there may be additional items to recreate an article. Thanks. Mandsford 20:46, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Nomination of Elite MCFL for deletion[edit]

Speedy deletion nomination of 808 Lighting[edit]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on 808 Lighting requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Paul McDonald (talk) 19:58, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Racine Raiders[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Racine Raiders has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

lack of independent reliable sources, lack of notability, and potential point-of-view violations.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Paul McDonald (talk) 05:57, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Article Feedback Tool[edit]

Hi! I noticed that you've added one or more articles to the Article Feedback Tool pilot list. I think it's great that you are interested in being involved with the pilot but I'm going to have to ask you to stop. The articles you added the tool to are not good candidates for the "Additional Articles" list, so I'm going to remove them from the category. If you like, you can join in our discussion about it at mw:Article feedback/Public Policy Pilot/Additional Pages.

Thanks!--Jorm (WMF) (talk) 22:30, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Hawaiian Warriors[edit]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hawaiian Warriors requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 23:01, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 00:20, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ohio Swarm[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ohio Swarm requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
