Disambiguation link notification for September 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Crazies (2010 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page EW (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Accero

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Accero has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

AWB paes

Seem like there might be a bug ("paes" vs. "pages"): [1]. Hope it helps! —Sladen (talk) 09:22, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

No, just a user-typo error. Thanks for correcting it. Rjwilmsi 10:34, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Question

What is the use of this {{R from other capitalisation}} ? Pierre cb (talk) 18:53, 18 September 2013 (UTC)

@Pierre cb: - See the documentation at Template:R from other capitalisation. GoingBatty (talk) 02:07, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

R to other namespace

As recently as 13 September, the RjwilmsiBot tagged a CNR with {{R to other namespace}} as shown by this edit. I wonder if you can program the bot to use the correct templates to tag CNRs? The category populated by R to other namespace is being emptied by recategorizing its contents to its subcategories as explained on the template's documentation page. Thank you for your consideration in this matter! Joys! – Paine Ellsworth CLIMAX! 23:54, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Sure, can do this, would have done so already had I been notified earlier of the change in template use. Rjwilmsi 07:07, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
Thank you, Rjwilmsi! I guess such notifications are still very slow, sometimes. Pity they cannot be delivered by a bot. ;) Thank you for helping to empty that parent category! – Paine Ellsworth CLIMAX! 15:30, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of A. K. Jonscher

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on A. K. Jonscher requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. --Japs 88 (talk) 22:55, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

Request to run CiteCompletion on Category:Pages with citations having bare URLs

I was directed here from Help_talk:Citation_Style_1.

I've been working on fixing articles in Category:Articles with incorrect citation syntax, one of the subcategories of which is Category:Pages with citations having bare URLs.

I was looking for a good semi-automated tool to fix articles in Category:Pages with citations having bare URLs.

In its most common form, the error in question is a CS1 citation with a url but no title, like this:

{{cite web|url=http://foo.com|author=John Doe|date=January 1, 2000|title=}}

which renders thus:

John Doe (January 1, 2000). http://foo.com.  Missing or empty |title= (help)

(And yes, I know there are other conditions that cause this error, but let's look at this basic one for now.)

I have discovered and used the delightful WP:REFLINKS, but that seems to do its best work only on truly bare URLs, such as "<ref>http://foo.com</ref>". It does not appear to be subtle enough to see a "cite web" template with no title, dig one up, and insert it for me.

I hear that User:RjwilmsiBot may be able to run through this category, which contains more than 10,000 articles, and add some of these titles. Is that possible? If so, can you please add this category to the bot's queue, or whatever you do to draw the bot's attention to these particular errors? Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:29, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

P.S. I see that you've been working on Category:Pages with citations using unnamed parameters for a while; I've just turned my attention to that one after working on the wikilinks category and the URL errors category. Nice work on getting rid of these red error messages! – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:33, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
