Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

Thanks for your message. In the latest months I've created pages for Bob Sinclar, Modjo, Joey Negro, Snap!, Ron Carroll. I've also made some updates to Boris Dlugosch, Rui Da Silva, Blaze and Jason Nevins. If you feel you can add anything to them, feel free.

Also, please take a look at the musician article requests and see if you recognize any name. I intend to do some of them later, especially the deep house artists. --Pc13 08:29, 17 August 2005 (UTC)

Dance Artists[edit]

Please watch your stubs! Hi Robert, please pay attention when placing solo artists into categories, for example if you were to put Mariah Carey into "female singers" you need to type it as "Category:Female singers|Carey, Mariah" so that the name is properly alphabetized on the category page. Thanks! -- eo 13:44, 23 August 2005 (UTC)

Radio stations[edit]

According to WikiProject Radio Stations, WXXX (AM) is the preferred format for AM radio station articles. There's no such thing as a radio station with an "-AM" suffix; all AM radio stations are unsuffixed. If you disagree, could you please discuss it with them rather than creating or moving existing articles to titles that aren't in accordance with the current policy? Thanks. Bearcat 19:30, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

Request for edit summary[edit]

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 1% for major edits and 100% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 27 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 04:06, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit]

Hello, I have a WMWB TV logo you can upload to the WMWB-LP page. I don't know how to add it to the page but I did upload it to this website. Here is the logo: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Image:WMWB_logo.jpg

Toronto radio templates[edit]

If you're going to put the Toronto AM and FM templates on stations in Oshawa and Hamilton as well as stations in Toronto, then could you please not put the Category:Radio stations in Toronto category on the template? Stations in Hamilton and Oshawa don't belong in the Toronto category, because they're not in Toronto, but putting the category on the template automatically applies the category to every article the template is on. Thanks. Bearcat 18:51, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

RN[edit]

Since RN is Australia-wide, it's a bit pointless adding templates for radio stations in every major city that RN is also broadcasted in. We already have a list of radio stations in Australia. Perhaps you might like to make a template consisting of Australia-wide radio stations? Dysprosia 03:35, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Edit summaries[edit]

Hey Robert, I was just going to leave this on your RfA before I saw Essjay closed it. I'll repost it word-for word in what I was going to say:

 • Comment: Check Wikiproject User scripts for a tool that will get you in the practice of using an edit summary. While a little annoying at first, I've checked mathbot a few times, and my summary usage has been at 100%. You have to understand that I typically don't oppose, and I feel bad about doing so, but I'd like you to get acquainted with the community a bit more. Forgive me for being a metapedian to your exopedian, but I guess that's just how RfAs are nowadays. Good luck to you in the future and let me know if I can help at all, Mysekurity [m!] 03:06, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Canadian FM stations[edit]

For your information : all Canadian FM stations have an -FM suffix to their call sign, unless they are extremely low-power stations with a VF- seminumeric call sign. Moving articles to titles without the -FM suffix does not conform to Wikipedia naming conventions and is incorrect in any case. — ABCXYZ (talk) 23:07, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Radio Monitor[edit]

Hey that's cool - the Billboard issue date and song didn't match, that's all. Wasn't sure if the date or song was incorrect and as I'm a Billboard.com/Billboard.biz subscriber that's what I had to go on. -- eo 10:41, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi again - just curious as to what issue date you're going by for the Hot Dance Airplay article. If Billboard has Saturday issue dates, and the 06/24 issue has Madonna at number one, wouldn't the issue date be 07/01 for Nick Lachey taking over? For example, when Billboard issues its next round of charts (Hot Dance Airplay included), the website and print editions will not be dated June 25. -- eo 17:44, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
I figured it was something along those lines. I was going to suggest we decide on which issue date to go with, but your suggestion of sticking with Billboard makes sense. Best to keep all Billboard-related articles uniform, right? Thanks.... July 1 sounds best for the Lachey thingy. Talk to ya later! -- eo 18:41, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Template:Toronto FM[edit]

Hey, good job on the Toronto FM template, the colour is pretty good. What do you think about moving this template to Template:GTA FM? It is for radio stations in the Greater Toronto Area afetr all, not just Toronto itself. Gimme a shout back. --Reaper X TC 22:00, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Max Headroom Episodes Subcategory[edit]

Thank you for organizing an episodes subcategory for Max Headroom.--P Todd 23:51, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Dance categories[edit]

Hi, the new Category:Dance musical groups is a good idea. Other genre categories split up groups and solo artists, so the dance categories should do the same. I have placed the new cat in the Category:Musical groups by genre and Category:Dance musicians categories as Category:Dance/Club music artists is being merged into Category:Dance musicians. --musicpvm 22:59, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Also, based on previous discussions including Category talk:Categories named after people, most users have agreed that the only category that should be placed in an eponymous category is Category:Categories named after people or one of its subcategories. So for eponymous categories for musicians and musical groups (for example Category:Ace of Base), the only category that should be included is Category:Categories named after musicians. All other categories should be placed in the actual article. Thanks. --musicpvm 00:46, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your comments: it is a new tag.[edit]

Thanks for your comments regarding catdiffuse. It is a new tag: I was cleaning up the Politics section and I noticed that the users and myself have a nasty habit for using general categories. My WP:INT project can apply to categories too: better subcategories to integrate content and reduce redundancy. Now if more people will go along with it, that would help things. Cwolfsheep 23:05, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

R&R (magazine)[edit]

I thought that I would drop you a line , as I was bold and moved the R&R article from your name R&R(Magazine) since it is standard to have a space before the parentheses. I love what you wrote in the article!

I see we have several things in common, including Wisconsin and an interest in electronic music. Very Cool! --Royalbroil 04:44, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi! I have a question. In the first sentence of the R&R (magazine) article, there is the word "cumes". I think either a replacement word or a definition of that would be appropriate -- I'd do it, but I'm not quite sure what it is supposed to mean myself. Thanks! -- ArglebargleIV 22:17, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you!! -- ArglebargleIV 22:56, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Natalie Reid[edit]

Please do not remove a wikify tag when the article clearly needs to be wikified. Thank you. Ohyeahmormons 00:52, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

What I mean by wikified is that it needs to be in a proper form of an entry. The information isn't bad, but it needs to be edited properly like an article. The tag is there so one of the more experienced users can edit it correctly. :) Ohyeahmormons 01:43, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Vanished[edit]

Excellent--thanks for adding the categories. I'm not good at that sort of thing. I am surprised by how little action the Vanished pages have gotten. I've tried to put in place a framework that others can augment, but a lot of work can still be done. Thanks! Transcendentalstate 12:54, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Ain't that always the way things go around here?  :) I have honestly thought of motioning to enhance the instructions on a new page with a great big "STOP BEFORE PROCEEDING" warning. Of course, it would be ignored, so here we sit. Oh, well. - Lucky 6.9 06:32, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Fashion models[edit]

Shouldn't we make a seperate category for fashion models from other types of models?? It helps the viewer see the difference between fashion models and glamour models, foot models, etc.. Lil Flip246 21:58, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

My mistake, that was a really weird mixup. Let me know if something like that happens again - my apologies. JoeSmack Talk(p-review!) 18:54, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Television series by network[edit]

I don't know if you're still doing this,[1] but please don't categorize television series by any network other than the one for which they were originally produced, which will include more than one only if it was a joint production (such as Rome). Rerun airings or international broadcasts in secondary markets are not definitive of the subject, compared to the network that ordered its production and can or did order its cancellation. Not limiting them in this manner also would inevitably result in a flood of dozens of categories on every TV series article that has been shown globally at one time or another. See the WikiProject Television2 on this, as well as a prior discussion showing consensus for this narrow application. Apologies if this is now a moot point. Postdlf 01:25, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, didn't notice until just now the section above titled "categories" that already addressed this issue. Postdlf 01:27, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

link to British[edit]

Hello, when you want to link to the article about something British, please do not link to British, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as United Kingdom or Great Britain by writing out British or British. Billboard links[edit]

Hi Robert, just letting you know I reverted your edit to the external links on the Hot Dance Club Play article. I don't think the links should point to Billboard.biz because users are required to pay for a subscription and have a login ID to view those pages, whereas on Billboard.com it is free and the link takes readers right to the chart page, even though it is not the full chart. If you disagree with this let me know - perhaps both could be listed? - eo 21:18, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Hmmmmm interesting! Although it may be your subscription to R&R that allows you in, as they have merged. Try logging out of your R&R account and see if you can view charts on .biz. I'll do the same with my browser and see what happens. - eo 21:39, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
I guess so! I thought at first maybe there was a glitch with the sites, but I was also able (without loggging in) to go to R&R and look at the full charts and access all the info - and I've never subscribed to R&R. Makes me wonder now why I am paying for a subscription when just anyone can get the full listings... although I too get the print issues in the mail. Seems kind of silly to have the full charts on one site and abbreviated charts on another, don't you think? Go figure. - eo 21:56, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Re:Ugly Betty[edit]

Hi Robert, thanks for letting me know about the changed circumstances of the Ugly Betty characters. I had a feeling when I closed the AfD that the article would eventually need to be split up if the series took off, so I have no problems with this being done. If there are any technical problems with moving articles that require admin tools to fix, please let me know and I'll do what I can. Cheers, Deathphoenix ʕ 04:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

WKBT[edit]

Hi Robert,

You recently added affiliation details on Wikipedia's article for WKBT, a television station in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You added comments on secondary affiliations with NBC and DuMont. Do you have a source for this information? Someone (not I) has tagged the information with a (citation needed) tag, and I'm hoping to be able to verify the information you've provided, so that it can be kept in the article, and so that I can use the information on the List of former DuMont Television Network affiliates. Vidas de Fuego[edit]

Howdy! I noticed you moved the content of Talk:Vidas de Fuego/Temp to Vidas de Fuego/Temp. Should it go to Vidas de Fuego or do we need to wait for the copyvio template to be removed? (I haven't worked with copyvio before, so I am not sure.) - fmmarianicolon | Talk 08:28, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the compliments on the changes to the two pages, and thanks for working to move the page! - fmmarianicolon | Talk 21:32, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
I thought we had to wait a week to see if the original creator of the page wanted to contest the copyvio. Jaysbro 16:23, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Jowharah Jones[edit]

That is fine, but it is still in no way clear how she meets WP:BIO criteria in the article, so that would be something to work on here. I've also removed Personal Interests per WP:TRIV. Cheers!--Isotope23 12:06, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

The Fighting Irish (30 Rock episode)[edit]

I reverted your edit to the above article regarding Molly Shannon's character as speculation. While I think that you may have a point, it is still ambiguous enough to where we would need a source to say that is what the writers were going for with that joke. They may have also been using a comically-Irish Catholic name, too. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 03:23, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Buses WikiProject[edit]

I notice that you have edited lists of bus routes recently. You might be interested in helping with the new WikiProject buses, especially the proposed Bus route list guide. We are also working out when a bus route should have its own article and other issues. --NE2 15:38, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

A friendly tip[edit]

If you want to have articles appear in a category under the subject's last name, or any other name, you can type Lastname, Firstname at the beginning of the category list, and all the categories will automatically follow the stipulation. I haven't done this myself, but I've seen it done. YechielMan 05:03, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Template:Houma/Tri-Parishes Radio[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Houma/Tri-Parishes Radio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>tranclusionless</noinclude>).

Rhymthic and Urban Contemporary Airplay Panel[edit]

Hey Robert,

I saw that you have been editing the lists of these radio stations. In the post, it says, "The stations are ranked by the highest audience cumes based on Arbitron ratings and are modified twice a year."

My question is: Is the list that follows of 82 stations in order from 1 to 82 from greatest to smallest audience share? And if so, where did you find this information. I'm doing some research on Urban radio stations and was trying to find a source for this information. I went to the R&R website but wasn't able to find a way to sort by individual stations with the most share. Move[edit]

Information.svg Please do not move a page to a new title via cutting and pasting text, as you did with KSWD-FM. Each page on Wikipedia has an edit history that must be restored when a move is performed. In the future, please utilize the "move" tab located at the top of each article page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask myself or at WT:WPRS. Thank you. JPG-GR (talk) 17:57, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

KVMX cut and paste move[edit]

Information.svg Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of KVMX. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Hybrid buses[edit]

Please double-check when adding Category:Transit authorities with hybrid buses to certain articles. I have already removed the category from the LACMTA and MBTA articles. Neither LACMTA nor MBTA operate hybrid buses. LACMTA is mostly a compressed natural gas (CNG) fleet, which are not identical to hybrids. As for MBTA, the confusion might lie in their dual-mode electric/diesel trolleybuses, rather than true diesel-electric hybrids. ANDROS1337 22:04, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey there.... I know you're a major contributor to this info - hope you're OK with what I did here. Thanks for clearing up the 2003 page.... I went through every week from 2003-present on Billboard's online archive to make sure all issue dates and number-ones were completely correct, although since they had those "unpublished" weeks, their online info was incomplete for the chart's beginning. I realize that this is a component chart but as you know that main article was just going to become way too huge and cluttered if it continued as it was. Let me know if I made any glaring mistakes! Speedy deletion of Government agencies established in 1971[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Government agencies established in 1971 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Riotrocket8676 You gotta problem with that? 02:34, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Government agencies established in 1971[edit]

I see that you are starting an article and category for "Government agencies established in 1971". Is this for all governments in all countries? If not, I suggest renaming it to make it clear which country it covers e.g. "German Government agencies established in 1971" or "US Government agencies established in 1971". --DanielRigal (talk) 02:35, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Cut and paste move[edit]

Information.svg Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give KQBU-FM a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you.

Southeast Wisconsin Transit System[edit]

The Southeast Wisconsin Transit System only includes the six member agencies and does not have any direct relationship with the private operators who are contracted by those agencies. I have expanded Waukesha Metro Transit to show which routes are operated by Wisconsin Coach Lines, which Milwaukee County Transit System routes operate in Waukesha County, and added references. Similarly, I also intend to expand and properly reference most of those other related articles. Please note that in the template "state" refers to collapsed or not - nothing to do with Wisconsin. -Secondarywaltz (talk) 22:16, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Invitation to Meetup/Seattle6, a focus group[edit]

Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington (Seattle campus), and my group is reaching out to Wikipedians in the Puget Sound area. We're hosting a focus group designed to gather information on what Wikipedians would like to know about each other when interacting on Wikipedia. Our end goal is to create an embedded application that helps people quickly know more about others' history and activity on Wikipedia, and we feel our design will be much more useful if it's based on insights of users like you.

I'm hoping that the chance to help out local researchers, to engage in lively face-to-face discussion with other Seattle Wikipedians, and to contribute to Wikipedia in a new way will entice you to join us. The session lasts 2 hours and snacks are provided. Sessions will be held on UW Seattle campus - directions will be sent after registration. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated!

Willing and able to help us out? RSVP here. Want to know more? Visit our user talk page . Please help us contact other local Wikipedians, too! Commprac01 (talk) 00:52, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

WFMX[edit]

Do you have any sources for the information you added to the WMKS article? After their recent format change I decided to do some tinkering and discovered most of the article is unsourced.

I don't doubt any of what you said except that the station was picked up in Raleigh-Durham. Asheville, probably. Greenville-Spartanburg, maybe. Tri-Cities, Tennessee, more than likely. But Raleigh-Durham? I don't think so.

I also remember them building that Rowan County tower late in the 1980s and can't believe I never added that. I know Broadcasting Magazine could be a source for that, but let's face facts. Even the library databases only go back to the mid-1980s. I'm not going to waste my time at Wake Forest looking for stuff that can probably be found through some other means. I go to UNC-Charlotte even less often, but Broadcasting and Cable Yearbook or whatever it was called could also be used. Would you know of anything?Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 18:16, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

KHCM[edit]

Hello there. I saw that you did a split on this article and turned it into a disambiguation page. I've come in behind you to clean up a few things, and I wanted to point them out in case this situation ever presents itself again:

 • I've done a null edit to both KHCM-AM and KHCM-FM indicating the source of the content. When you do a page split like this, it's important to note in your edit summaries the fact that you've taken the content from the originating page or that you've moved the content to the receiving page. This ensures that the correct history is maintained for attribution and licensing purposes
 • I've moved KHCM-AM to KHCM (AM). While this article does need something to distinguish it from KHCM-FM, AM radio stations in the United States never use the '-AM' suffix. So, the convention that's used is to put the 'AM' in parentheses instead
 • I've revised a number of other articles to point to either KHCM (AM), KHCM-FM, or both, as appropriate. When you create a disambiguation page like this, it's important to check the 'What links here' link to make sure that there are no articles pointing to it — it's very rare that there should be

Just a friendly heads-up. Nice job on the split itself, by the way — too often that sort of stuff just sits around here undone. Mlaffs (talk) 14:18, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Edit to Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project[edit]

I removed most of a recent edit you made to this article because most of the text added was the same as the source cited, which is plagiarism. Details on avoiding this problem are at Wikipedia:Plagiarism; in this case, a short summary (maybe 3-4 sentences long) of the article about Lingle and her reaction to the draft environmental impact statement would have sufficed. AfD nomination of List of fictional television shows[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of fictional television shows. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of fictional television shows (3rd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Sarah Atereth[edit]

Re: Living Lohan[edit]

Yeah, I'm not an Ali Lohan or a Living Lohan fan. Not that my opinion on the subject matters but, I find the entire Lohan clan rather useless as a whole. I watch the article because I work on quite a few television show articles and people have a tendency to change the tense in lede when a show is no longer airing and that happens to be a pet peeve of mine. I saw the exchange on the talk page and I commented because I thought it would be somewhat helpful. I'll think twice before doing that again. Good night. Pinkadelica 04:27, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Redaktor Wikipedia 600px.png

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 21:57, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Collaborative news on quippd[edit]

Hey, I noticed that you had recently edited the Emmys article, and I hoped that you could help out on another collaborative community edited project.

I run quippd, a collaboratively edited social news site, which mixes elements of Wikis, social networking, and social news sites. You can get some more information about what we are doing at: http://quippd.com/about/intro

Basically, we want to get good coverage on news stories, collaboratively edited, like Wikipedia. We are trying to take the ideas of WikiFactCheck -- to make news less biased and speedier (unlike something like Wikinews). By combining social elements to the project, we hope to bring the benefits of wiki enabled fact checking and npov ideas to the masses.

I hope you check us out -- and feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Hopefully you can find a proper WP:RS for it and any other similar circular links.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 19:19, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Hot Dance Airplay[edit]

Hello. You could write also something of Alexandra Stan. If I am not wrong she tied with Kate Perry and David Guetta in this top, being number 1 at the end of her 5th consecutive week. You can write some rounds of her and also to mention her in the top.

A request[edit]

I hate to have to ask this, but when leaving citations on articles, could you use the cite web template? This is the way everyone does things on Wikipedia, and it makes everything look more uniform. Thank you. Kevinbrogers (talk) 19:44, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Top 40 update[edit]

If you haven't noticed, I have taken the unsourced "by year" lists of number ones on the Rhythmic chart and created fully sourced lists of number ones on the chart by decade. I've reached the current decade, where you have added sources for each of the individual years to a Top 40 Update link, which is great because those update sheets are rather informative. I was planning on keeping those sources until I read the disclaimer in them that says "Chart data presented is this update is preliminary and subject to change, pending final review by Billboard and BDS." While it may be rare where a final review results in a change at number one, since the data is not considered final, I am not sure it can be deemed reliable. Since the Billboard update of their Biz side of its website, it is now possible to view the number one song for most weeks of any chart even without a subscription, and I have been pointing to those as the source. As you are the main contributor to these articles and have a personal interest in them, I'd like to know if you find it acceptable for me to continue and complete the decade lists in this manner? Thanks. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 18:09, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Cut/paste move[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give WFYV-FM a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into WHJX. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you.

RobDe68 (talk) 15:44, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
I now see that the cut/paste move was necessary because the WFYV-FM article was originally for a different station up until May (104.5 FM).
The 106.5 FM frequency originally had an article (WBGB), but it was changed into a dab page. Sorry about that, I removed the template from the WHJX page. RobDe68 (talk) 16:31, 4 July 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Friend Me[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Friend Me has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Canceled without airing an episode. All coverage comes from within a two-month span.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Citation formatting[edit]

Hi, I've noticed your contributions to Once Upon a Time articles for a while now. While they are usually helpful, is there a specific reason why you don't format your citations properly? Edits like these just require me or others to finish the work you started, which takes time and effort away from our own efforts. This citation template might be useful for your future edits. A Curious Thing (Once Upon a Time)[edit]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of A Curious Thing (Once Upon a Time), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.wetpaint.com/once-upon-a-time/articles/2014-04-24-season-3-episode-19-spoilers.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Help[edit]

I don't watch Once Upon A Time, but as I remembered Rapunzel once appeared in this series. Could you add a piece about this to Rapunzel (Disney) as what you did on Elsa (Disney)?

However I'm not sure if the Rapunzel in Once Upon A Time shares any similarities/basis with the Tangled's Rapunzel, or that's a completely different character. If not, then Once Upon A Time's Rapunzel shouldn't be included in the article about Tangled's Rapunzel. Please help with this. ALittleQuenhi (talk to me) 17:14, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

Capitalization of radio formats[edit]

Hello, I've seen all the contributions you've made to 2014 in radio and I've often edited those so that they follow Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters, at MOS:GENRECAPS, says "Radio formats such as adult contemporary or classic rock are also not capitalized." I don't mind going in and making the fixes, but I thought that if you could follow the rule as expressed at MOS:GENRECAPS, things could be correct immediately. Hawaii edit-a-thon![edit]

Hello. I'm interested in attempting to put together an edit-a-thon for Hawaiian cultural topics something during the Makahiki festival perhaps around the month of November. The hope is that our lackluster coverage of Hawaiian mythology could be improved with help from the Bishop Museum, Hawaii Pacific University, and the Honolulu public library. I am in the process of making initial contacts with these organizations as well as Wikimedia DC's GLAM project. If this sounds like something you might be interested in participating in, or perhaps helping to coordinate, could you please add your name to 2014 Makahiki Edit-a-thon?--v/r - TP 21:24, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

2014–15 United States network television schedule (weekday)[edit]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 2014–15 United States network television schedule (weekday), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2013–14 United States network television schedule (weekday). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:36, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
