Help is here[edit]

You emailed me saying that you were needing some help? What is it that I can help you with? By the way, leaving a helpme template on your talk page will flag your page for attention by people who will be able to aid you so you can do that if you need aid as well. Arundhati bakshi 16:28, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

and save the changes -- your page will be flagged for help and someone will soon contact you. Arundhati bakshi 16:14, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

You had added a lot of text about Akbar's personality. Could you give your sources so that the content can be verified? - Ganeshk (talk) 21:06, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

the source is An Advanced History of India. By Majumder,Raychoudhary,Datta.

I have added you to the category . I saw that you have mentioned your name on the category page & thought that probably you want to list yourself in it. your name appears under "U" although your name starts with "R". I do not know the reason for this, perhaps you could contact an administrator for this. Rohitbd 09:03, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

fixed it, but you don't need to be an admin for that. It was dispalying the name under "U" as it took the U in the "User:...." as the first letter in the name. The right syntax is . --Gurubrahma 14:26, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
thanks for the correction. And the source of the article Akbar is An Advanced History of India. By R.C.Majumder,H.C.Raychoudhary,Kalikinkar Datta. Can this article be nolminated for the best article category by a new comer.

panchita 20:10, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi.Its great that you are taking snaps of Bongaon.Photos make article great.Please try to build up the article Bongaon according to the guidelines given in Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian cities.At leat, try to divide the article in several sub-headings and then fill up information.In fact, you can help immensely to build up different articles on North 24 parganas.For example, an article on Chandraketugarh is necessary to build up.--Dwaipayanc 08:31, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Indenting Replies[edit]

Hi Rupak, welcome to the 'pedia. I noticed that your replies in this page were formatted somewhat confusingly. So I thought of helping you with it.

When you reply to somebody's comments, you should use a colon (:) at the beginning of the line so that your reply is indented a bit from the comment you are replying to, i.e. there is some space left to the left of the reply.

While replying to another comment that already has a colon or a few colons in the beginning, in order to indent further your reply should begin with one colon more than that comment.

For example:

Initial comment
:Reply to initial comment
::Reply to reply
::Another paragraph in reply to reply
:::Reply to reply to reply
:::Another paragraph
::::Reply to reply to reply to reply

Initial comment

Reply to initial comment
Reply to reply
Another paragraph in reply to reply
Reply to reply to reply
Another paragraph
Reply to reply to reply to reply

I already formatted the existing replies in this page so as to make the page more understandable — see this link. Hope you don't mind.

Thanks! -- Paddu 12:19, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Category:Resident Indian Wikipedians[edit]

I noticed that you added yourself to this category page. This is not the correct thing to do (so I removed your name from the category page). The category page should have only a description of the category. To add yourself to the category you can add this code at the end of your user page:

Another way to add to that category and also display a "userbox" in your user page is to add this code:

user IND res

This would add a box in your user page stating that you live in India and also automatically add you to the "Resident Indian Wikipedians" category. -- Paddu 12:37, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

It was a nice justure from you. I am greatful for that. Thanks.Rupakbiswas 16:41, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Whats with the numbers??[edit]

why do you keep adding telephone numbers to any article you come across? i appreciate you being interested enough to do it, but its really not required. rather, you can help wikipedia by expanding stubs. WoodElf 07:04, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Raj Bhavan (West Bengal), which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

--Gurubrahma 10:00, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi! Could you please see the Bagha Jatin and and talk poge Talk:Bagha Jatin.There is an ongoing debate over the article.A proposed version has been kept under Bagha Jatin/Temp3.Please compare these two versions : Bagha Jatin and Bagha Jatin/Temp3.And comment which one you think is appropriate.Ofcourse either one may need some editing.I request you this because I have seen you using proper history texts as reference for your editins , as in Akbar.You can help mediate the dispute.--Dwaipayanc 11:47, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Request,Nomination for removal Khalistan article[edit]

Hello Sir I'm nominating this page for deletion because it is written with a point of view , excessive use of unreliable sources.and the title "Khalistan" is wrong for the topic because "Khalistan" does not exist,lack of support from resident Punjabi's and Sikhs in India, but there was a "Movement for Khalistan" and that is the right title for the topic, and i think this whole article "a new name" should be rewritten with the help of people from sikh community "in" India and other Indians, because this topic is related to politics/people of India.We all should understand Khalistan is not a political entity and having a article is not justified, Microsoft Encarta and Britannic encyclopedia don't have an article known as "Khalistan" but they do have articles on the movement that took place decades back, and i think there are also copyright issues involved with this article because big parts of this article are written on other peoples research. Many reliable sources are used to show "one side" of their view on the topic, there are also indications that organisations banned by US and EU are involved in providing their research on the movement.I am a strong supporter to have a stub on this topic , but im afraid that such articles on wikipedia have become mouthpieces for organisation which are known for disrupting peace (assassination of one of india's prime minister, twin bomb blast in New Delhi on the eve of Diwali) in Indian sub continent. This article requires your attention , please help. Anmol.2k4 18:46, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Academy[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Academy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add hangon on the top of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Academy and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Deepak D'Souza (talk) 11:57, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
