Ground rivers[edit]

You have written a new article on the topic of Ground rivers. This term is unclear, and a google search does not come up with any results matching the description you have given. It appears that your article might be related to one or another articles that Wikipedia already has: subterranean river or aquifer. Can you help clear up the confusion? Also, your article does not cite any sources, which adds to the difficulty of properly figuring out what you are talking about. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:51, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir, hello. I am deeply sorry to note that you merged my article. Unable to contact any one in wikipedia, though my email is known to you, adds to my sorrow. I looked for your help, since I did not know how to operate your talk page. My article is still being added to, and suddenly vanished. So sad. May be you can rectify this mistake! salmanalkasimi salmanalkasimi@yahoo.com

Merge proposal[edit]

I have proposed that your ground rivers article be merged into the existing groundwater article, as the two articles appear to cover the same topic. Admittedly, the groundwater article does not cover the groundwater evaporation issue as yours does, or the possibility of capturing and reusing this evaporation product as part of an overall water management plan. These issues appear to have been largely neglected by hydrologists outside of desert countries (although I did find this reference which will prove useful in any expansion of the groundwater article).

I invite you to comment at Talk:Ground rivers regarding the proposed page merge.

I also should point out that basing the ground rivers article entirely on your own research, which Google scholar confirms has not been widely cited, lends little credence to the article you are creating. (See WP:NOR.) WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:42, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have continued to edit Ground rivers, yet you have not commented on the proposed merge at Talk:Ground rivers. Wikipedia is a collaborative project; we require your input on the discussion to make a proper decision about the article. If you choose not to engage in the discussion, decisions will be made without your input, but since you appear to be knowledgeable on the topic, we would prefer your input. Dear Sir, Hello. I am still learning how to contact you. I believe scientists with different cultures, languages and backgrounds should be tolerant to each others, till they resolve their differences, to the benefit of human race. Water issue is so important that not a single scientist opinion could be ignored. My work over the issue extends for 16 years. I find difficulties in editing, uploading figures and tables. I really need help, if the article is to be understandable to all wikipedians. Underground water has so many aspects to know. One of these aspects is ground water cycle. Understanding this cycle will help figuring out the interference among various factors in ground water flow. As regarding the popularity of the idea, global minds and dialog will make it popular, and rectify any ambiguity. Looking forward for your advice. salmanalkasimi salmanalkasimi@yahoo.com

I believe I was quite fair in my merge of your article to groundwater. I included your paper on the topic of groundwater evaporation reclamation, and another independent paper on the topic of groundwater evaporation. Wikipedia does not need two articles on the same topic under different titles. This practice is called content forking and is highly discouraged. Dear Sir, hello. I have completed my article: "ground rivers" in my sandbox. The cave photo, seems to have a problem with Wikimedia, for copy right, although its widely used, in sites for social forums, here in Saudi Arabia. Please, consider solving this problem and process this article. It really needs to have so many links. Ready for any query. Thanks. Best regards. salmanalkasimi salmanalkasimi@yahoo.com Sat.14330705-20120526
