GLAM Night Out at Wikimania[edit]

On the night of Thursday 12 July in DC at the Newseum near the Wikimania conference, Consumer Reports and the GLAM-Wiki US Consortium are hosting a social event and a panel on health information and Wikipedia. I would like to invite you to attend. Please RSVP here if you want to attend either or both the social event or the panel. I asked my housemate about Shake Shack and he showed me a recent article in the New York Times which said the place was awesome, so I am sorry for treating you like you were crazy for sending people there. Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)[edit]

Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:

It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.

At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).

Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.

If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 17:32, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

List of papal elections[edit]

Hi Savidan,

Great job with getting List of papal elections up to featured list status! I have nominated the article to go up on the main page in the Today's Featured List section. Some concerns about the article have been raised here. If you are willing to help address these concerns, it would be greatly appreciated.

Orphaned non-free image File:Childrenatrisklogo.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Childrenatrisklogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Your GA nomination of Federal prosecution of public corruption in the United States[edit]

The article Federal prosecution of public corruption in the United States you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold Symbol wait.svg. The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Federal prosecution of public corruption in the United States for things which need to be addressed. Pyrotec (talk) 19:25, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi Savidan. Your recent edits have improved readability of the article so I've awarded it GA-status. I've also responded to a few of your questions with some thoughts of mine, but I'm not holding up the review any more. Pyrotec (talk) 19:32, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Cardinal-Nephew[edit]

Hi mate, appreciate your edit at Cardinal-Nephew - fair enough. My aim was to highlight that Urban VIII had two, which was unusual - at least to have two at the same time. Innocent X who followed him had three but they served consecutively, not concurrently like the Barberini brothers. Urban was, at the time and later, recognised for his outrageous nepotism so I thought it was a useful side-note to the article as an example of how the title was used (or misused) by various Popes. I wanted to avoid statements like, "Urban practised nepotism on a grand scale - he appointed..." (though this wording appears in Urban's own article...). Your thoughts? Cheers, Stalwart111 (talk) 23:24, 6 August 2012 (UTC).

Looking over the list, two at the same time does not appear rare. The purpose of the article is not just to list. It is to include the details that are notable to the institution as a whole. If you have a source that says anything important about Urban's unusual use of the office, feel free to add that. Savidan 00:37, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Sounds good. Cheers, Stalwart111 (talk) 06:40, 7 August 2012 (UTC).

Mike Morgan Article[edit]

I noticed you added categories to the Mike Morgan (politician) article relating to his alleged conviction on fraud and bribery charges, but the article does not contain any mention of his conviction on criminal charges or any supporting reliable sources. Any assistance you can provide in verifying that he does in fact meet the inclusion criteria for those categories and editing the article accordingly would be most appreciated. --TommyBoy (talk) 23:57, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 20[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited List of United States local officials convicted of federal corruption offenses, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Robert Burke (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK for List of United States federal officials convicted of corruption offenses[edit]

Hi Savidan,

I wanted to review your DYK for List of United States federal officials convicted of corruption offenses, but was unsure how to approach the section on Inclusion and Criteria. This may be a little out of my area. But to make a long explanation short, just please see Orlady's suggestions at DYK Talk. I see you've already been making changes. When you think it's like you want it to be, why don't you post a little note on the DYK template. It looks like an impressive list. Maile66 (talk) 01:20, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Afroyim v. Rusk hopefully FAC soon[edit]

Hi. Afroyim v. Rusk (a 1967 Supreme Court case on citizenship law) is, I believe, very close to being ready for FAC. As a significant contributor to my last FAC a year ago (United States v. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured list directors The Rambling Man (talk · contribs), Dabomb87 (talk · contribs) or Giants2008 (talk · contribs), or at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured list. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity[edit]

Information icon Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, and that you have not been inactive for a three year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts.
