Deletion of references to Carlo Suarez

An editor has listed you as one of the editors that deleted an article about Carlo Suarez. Suarez holds that the little marks in Torah that are known as the Hebrew alphabet are also Hieroglyphs. He gives the definitions.

To comprehend an article about Suarez one must know what Torah is and not be opposed to Jugian psychology. Other editors have written that they know nothing about Kabbalah and couldn't comprehend the article. Would we be wasting our time for me to pass the article, with clarifications to another editor, by you again to see if you comprehended enough to term the article salvagable?Johnshoemaker (talk) 13:31, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Dear Seph,

Please view my talk page. Thanks JSJohnshoemaker (talk) 09:55, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Powers or abilities?

We need to be consistent. Should we go ahead and change the others? Even the Dragon Ball characters use "Abilities" so should that be the one? Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 02:12, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Abilities. I've always disliked the use of the term "powers." Feel free to change the rest. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 02:14, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh. Could you give me a hand? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 02:18, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Sephiroth, if the others won't be changed I'll move it back to "Powers". Doesn't make sense that Rukia has to be different. If this was a Naruto character I wouldn't fight. Thoughts? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 06:09, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
...feel free to be bold and change the rest. I still stand by "Abilities." Again, you don't need approval for everything. If you get reverted, then discuss with the editor in question and inform me. It's not a big deal. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 07:01, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
You seem to have misunderstood. I know that I don't need "approval", just some help from you would be nice (two heads are better than one). Did you not gander at my second reply? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 06:32, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Thought you were consciently ignoring me. Well, I nailed Kon, who is missing? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 02:46, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
I wasn't ignoring you, there was nothing to reply to that wasn't covered by my above post. That it was any "easier" that I did it is simply silly, as is you being timid. As to your question, no. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 02:54, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
It's that when I ask a question I usually expect a response. "No" what? "No" meaning we've gotten everyone? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 03:00, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
There's no one left. Everyone else can be retained per the present cleanup discussion. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 03:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi Sephiroth BCR! Thank-you for your support in my RfA (91/1/1).
I take all the comments to heart and hope I can fulfil the role of being
an admin to the high standard that the community deserves.

Thank-you also for defending me with such well thought out reasoning :). I really appreciate it. Seraphim♥ Whipp 17:53, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your comments, you seem very angry that I brushed you off which I didn't think I was doing. No offense is intended in my responses to you. Since your post on the FA page, there has been a reworking of the aritcle by four editors, (two are not Roman Catholics and three who opposed the FA nomination) and have significantly reduced the size of the article, redundancies and I think any POV. Peace. NancyHeise (talk) 05:27, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Basic Utility Vehicle

I think you are the Wiki-editor who deleted the pages for the Basic Utility Vehicle. Since I have never published on W before, I do not understand a lot of the idiosyncracies. Your comment was that this was "blatant advertising." It is my interest to help people understand what Basic Utility Vehicles are and how they are used around the world. I believe there is interest in these vehicles and they have a place in Wikipedia. Can you tell me how this article can be rewritten so it is not blatant advertising? Thanks.

List of characters in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow

I'm afraid I don't quite understand why you reverted my edits... The fact the name and nationality of the main character were both changed for the English version wasn't mentioned, and I'd say that's noteworthy. Could you explain why you deemed my edits unnecessary, exactly? 88.161.129.43 (talk) 05:15, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Look, you don't understand... His name _isn't_ "Cruz", in the Japanese version. It _really_ is "Kurusu". A Japanese name. Written in kanji. Because he's Japanese. They changed his ethnicity, his name, and made him a transfer student. And when a character has a different name in the Japanese version, it should be noted. Also, now that you've removed the part about that change of nationality, an English-speaking reader won't be able to read the Japanese source and will only see the English one about him being a transfer student, i.e. that information will be lost on him. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 06:19, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Respond to Sephiroth BCR

The discussion has changed to discussing about WP:FOOTBALL... but I'll butt in anyhow to save my soul. Gary King (talk) 07:34, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

I've begun the arduous task of improving Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to WP:FA status, hopefully. I'm letting you know about this specifically because I know that you have experience improving video game articles to WP:FA status, so your help on this will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to edit the article if you find a few things should be changed, or let me know about any concerns or comments that you have about the article. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 05:39, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

P.S. You'll basically see what I am currently working on within the article by the cleanup boxes that appear at the top of the article. Gary King (talk) 05:40, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
One interesting thing that I have noted from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is that a lot of your references are in-game. Should I do that? It's going to be a bit of a pain to go through the video to find the relative parts... Gary King (talk) 05:45, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Please bullet the list next time. Giant paragraphs are scary! Gary King (talk) 05:59, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
How did you find places in games to quote/reference from? Did you play the games through and then kept a notepad handy and wrote down the quotes that you found were useful? Or are there transcript available of games that I could use to reference from? (That'd be nice!) Gary King (talk) 15:04, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
The article has improved drastically since last night, in my opinion. I'm continuing to work on it, but I thought I'd give you an update on the progress. Just a side note, but after working on Facebook, PHP, and now Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare towards WP:FA status, I've so far learned that the information-heavy articles like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare are the easiest article types to improve, and then event-based articles like Facebook, and then technical articles like PHP. It's been an interesting learning experience. Gary King (talk) 18:44, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
What do I put in a singleplayer section? Gary King (talk) 18:59, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Want a mop?

Well, I'd be lying if I said I'm not even a little bit interested, but I don't think it's the best path for me right now. I have less time to edit like I use (and want) to, and I get stressed out enough trying to put out fires on VG articles caused by edit wars and our less informed editors. So I appreciate the offer, but don't think I could handle the extra responsibilities right now. Thanks Sephiroth. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:57, 17 March 2008 (UTC))

AWB question

I noticed that you changed interwiki ordering, to make Bahasa Melayu go after Nihongo. Is this something you yourself did, or is it an automatic AWB feature? I'm really interested to find. If you were around Wikipedia at the time of YurikBot, you'll remember that it sorted interwiki by the local name of the language. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 16:19, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Interviews

Hi Sephiroth, have you seen this this interview with the Naruto English voice actors? They are the ones of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Lee. I thought we could edit something in the reception parts. The problem is that I am not a native english speaker, so I am not very good understanding every word they say. Well, just wanted to show, regards.Tintor2 (talk) 20:20, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I forgot to tell you. I made a short draft here only to see how would it be the reception section of these two characters (and the second one is very short). However, they lack conception. Just wanted to show you, bye.Tintor2 (talk) 20:46, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I ll see what I can do with the ones of Lee (If you want, do any changes), however my english is not very good, just check the summaries of List of Rurouni Kenshin chapters (and I even had Sesshomaru to check mistakes). About Itachi, I ll leave it for later, since more reception info may come with the release of new DVDs.Tintor2 (talk) 02:03, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

I will use the old version of the article and try to clean it up. I have already copied it to the draft. See you.Tintor2 (talk) 20:13, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

I have been cleaning it up and asked Snapper2 who told me there werent problems, although he commented about the lack of conception (or sourced conception). I will work in the references if this results successful. Another thing I would like to ask is that its necessary "In the 62nd episode of the Gintama anime, the protagonist Gintoki Sakata is shown saying using "dattebayo" while reading an issue of Weekly Shonen Jump with Naruto on the cover.[43]" in other media. If not this one and the one of Shikamaru need to be deleted. Well, see you (I need to think in new ways of saying bye, lol).Tintor2 (talk) 00:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello, sorry for bothering. I have been cleaning Edward Elric and I would like an advice of what is unsuitable for the article. Thanks.--Tintor2 (talk) 00:20, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Messages from Clarity2199

User Clarity2199 (talk · contribs) tried to send you a message, but it ended up getting into an article by mistake. I have explained how to get to your talk page, but said I would forward the message, which follows below. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:18, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

He apparently tried to send a second one as well, which appears as the second item below (originally posted 1:01, 23 March 2008). In addition to the material that has apparently triggered this discussion, he is insisting on publicizing his innovate action in the Museum article and it appears as though a reversion war may be triggered by it. If you get a chance to take a look at that, it would be very helpful. (I have also left a note on his own discussion page.) ----Futhark|Talk 09:41, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

So what your saying is the type of museum we have does not exist.

There are permanent displays all over the world, and we do not fall into any catagory.

The artists I mentioned are all independent, and therefore not under our roof.

The page in question is not owned by me, run by me, the only reason I linked it for for reference to other permanent displays (like my own)

You have removed the catagory all together, my links to it, my additions.

I feel this is unfair, and incorrect.

The brick art form is well known, and in turn deserves its listing among museum styles.

I am in discussions with other permanent brick structures as well about becoming museums as well to support the art form as well.

I am new to wikipedia, so do we keep going back and forth adding and deleting, how does this work??

Dan

Hi, I am a bit confused!!!

I have been blocked, attacked, removed, and just outright pissed on!

I am TOTALLY confused at this. I founded a unique type of museum. I am working on helping other people do the same.

You removed my type of museum (with plugs for the unique builders), then another user removed my listing! I undid his removal (I think)....but I am not sure how the museum in Bellaire Ohio would differ from the other unique museum's listed in the same article page

aka:

A number of different museums exist to demonstrate a variety of topics. Music museums may celebrate the life and work of composers or musicians, such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Bellaire Ohio Toy and Plastic Brick Museum Museum in Bellaire, Ohio. Other music museums include live music recitals such as the Handel House Museum in London.

I do not run the museum, but feel in this context is it perfect! And I would like to find out from you how I would add a creative catagory for the different permanent placements of brick "museum/creations".

In the Strong museum in Rochester NY, they have a Building Brick element to the museum, My Museum, Brick City in Canada, LEGOLAND even has their own history museum!!!

So I would like to ask, Since Plastic Brick in a catagory does not seem to "float your boat" what would a better way to put it be?

It is NOT a kids museum! I am not the only forum for this art form, but I seem to be the first advicate of it.

Please advise!

Dan

oh and as a ps: it took me over 3 hours to create those pages. So is there a template way to keep them on Wikipedia so I can at least try and re-submit them??

Dan

Thanks for the support

Hello Sephiroth. Thank you for declining a block request, twice. The vandal had been active within an hour of the request being made. I admit that I typed "yesterday" (as the clocked had just rolled past midnight here). Warnings (multiple {{uw-vandal4}} in a row) start to appear hollow without action. Once again, thank you for helping to empty the queue; please consider blocking more requests (a "token" 24-hours block does wonders). The paperwork overhead with writing on a user's Talk: page, reporting to WP:IAV is large compared to the two-clicks for rollback—meaning it's very tempting to just hit "rollback" and leave it at that. Coping with vandalism on WP is continuous fire-fighting and it's more satisfying to know that a user can't screw things up further, even if it's only for a day. —Sladen (talk) 03:19, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Consider full protection on User:Karaku as well

You fully protected User talk:Karaku yesterday due to Karaku's continued removal of decline-unblock template and abusive language. After this edit (although probably not from Karaku, heh) you might want to consider full protection on User:Karaku as well, until the block expires. Even when someone is being a jerk, I hate to see them sucker punched while they are down. Either way, it's your call. Thanks! --Jaysweet (talk) 12:10, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Why did you recommend contesting the prod? Take a look at close those sources: they're all news squibs from a two-day window, saying, "Google bought this little company"; plus one item from Google, saying, "We bought this little company and use their content; hopy you like it." --Orange Mike | Talk 14:01, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

If I make List of billionaires (2006), List of billionaires (2007), and List of billionaires (2008) into WP:FLs, and either Lists of billionaires or Billionaire into either an WP:FL or an WP:FA, then would I be able to nominate them for a WP:FT? Or would the lists for the years before 2006 be required? The actual lists from Forbes go back a few decades at the least, I believe, but the lists only start from 2004 to the present. I want to only focus on 2006–2008 because 2005 and earlier are not as clean. Gary King (talk) 22:00, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

What if the topic was 'Lists of billionaires since 2004'? Gary King (talk) 22:33, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Lists of billionaires can be expanded to act as a summary of the lists, such as Time 100. Gary King (talk) 22:41, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Rental Magica anime episode list

While I thank you for editing my rather wordy summaries of the last three episodes of the first season I'm concerned that the shortened summaries seem to contain what appears to be appear original research as it is most certainly not factually consistent with what happens in universe. I will edit the summaries to make them more factually correct (while maintaining their brevity) at a later date. :) GreatMizuti (talk) 13:40, 25 March 2008 (UTC) (Oh, and Adelicia is spelt with a C, while S is correct if a phoenetic translation was the only option available we'd all write Getia, which I think you'll agree is just silly)

I'm nominating List of billionaires (2008) for WP:FLC at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of billionaires (2008). Please leave comments if you have time. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 17:46, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Making a major change to a template

Here's a summary of what I'd like to do: Template talk:dts2#Change entry format from MM-DD-YYYY to YYYY-MM-DD. Any thoughts? There are 255 articles using the template right now, which isn't actually a whole lot. Please let me know what you think and how I should go about tackling this, or if I should do it at all. I use this template quite a lot and am always sad to see the format is 'incorrect' and should be standardized. For instance, PHP has functions that have been using non-standard formats since it was created and now the programming language suffers because of those. Gary King (talk) 02:44, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Here's an idea: I can go through the articles that use {{dts2}} , replace 'dts2' with another 'temporary' template name, such as {{dts22}} , then I can see which articles still need to be switched over to the temporary template via the 'What links here' feature. When I see that no more articles use {{dts2}} , then I can switch over {{dts2}} to the new format and then {{dts22}} can retain the old format. This would be easier than going through the articles right now and switching their formats over, because I wouldn't be able to keep track of which articles I've switch over so far. Gary King (talk) 02:50, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm working on it now... feel free to help out. It shouldn't take long; at most, a few man hours, so the more help the merrier. It's just a simple search-and-replace right now. Gary King (talk) 03:07, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm on a Mac right now, but I'll see when I can get a hold of a Windows computer. Anyways, how can I generate a list for AWB from the articles here? I know AWB can generate a list of articles from categories, but what about What Links Here? Gary King (talk) 20:34, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Conversion done. Feel free to look over the template. Gary King (talk) 22:47, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Really?

The format which is the best for you, is not the best for me. Do not interfere again Sephiroth BCR, please. Doing so can be sure that will be terminated.
