I'LL LEAVE MESSAGES ON YOUR TALK PAGE

Contents

Welcome![edit]

Hello, Seqqis, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! SFK2 (talk) 05:22, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Pickup truck lists[edit]

Please do not keep adding listings of available pickup trucks in world markets. The pickup truck article is a general overview of the vehicle category. It is not a complete historic or current "list of all pickup trucks" for purchase. WP guidelines differentiate between entries that consist of lists, and articles that consist primarily of prose. Moreover, this article already contains a link to "Category:Pickup trucks" that has a list of the vehicles of this type. Thank you! CZmarlin (talk) 17:09, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

November 2012[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Pickup truck. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. SMS Talk 17:13, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Pickup Truck[edit]

While all of the material you added would be sourced in a perfect world, the most problematic claim you added was that vans were some how more fuel efficient than pickups. To add something like this you would need a very good reliable source that makes the the same statement and makes it clear that this is the reason for the van's prevalence in Europe. --Daniel(talk) 23:33, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Kei trucks in Japan[edit]

I have started a discussion on kei trucks in Japan at talk:Pickup truck#Vans vs pickups. Please feel free to contribute.  Stepho  talk  02:53, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

December 2012[edit]

Your recent editing history at History of video game consoles (eighth generation) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You need to read the talk page for that article. We have decided not to include any of those consoles until we know for sure what generation they will be called, if any, by reliable sources. That's why adding them now is not appropriate. MASEM (t) 14:09, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. --MASEM (t) 14:50, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at History of video game consoles (eighth generation). During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Speedy deletion nomination of Palcomix[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Palcomix requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Phileasson (talk) 15:00, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Inappropriate external links[edit]

Hello, please don't add commercial or blog external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Pickup truck. They are strongly discouraged by the external links guidelines. Graham87 04:34, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Pickuptrucks.com is a blog. BTW, please sign your messages with the normal Wikipedia signing feature using four tildes like this: "~~~~",. This automatically produces the correct timestamp. The timestamp that you added to my page was 6 hours behind UTC. Graham87 07:47, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Regarding my edits in your userpage.[edit]

I have done some modifications & fine tuning. I added the correct link to the article you had created in the French Wikipedia and also made some other changes. I hope that you don't consider my changes vandalism.
Regards.

Manufacturer as defined by Template:Infobox automobile[edit]

I notice you have been changing the "Manufacturer" infobox to inclued Karmann for cars built by Karmann for automobile manufacturers. If you go to Template:Infobox automobile, you will see "manufacturer" defined for the purposes of the template as follows:

"Manufacturer: the entity responsible for the vehicle's development, although not necessarily the company that physically assembles the vehicle"

Based on the definition given in the template, the "manufacturer" of the BMW E9 was BMW, although Karmann would have done the final assembly.

Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 19:09, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

As User:SamBlob explained to you, the assembly plant is not the manufacturer, even if the final assembly is contracted to an outside party. Bavarian Auto Group and Magna Steyr are not the manufacturer, you can add them only to the Assembly field. Please take a look at WP:CAR's Conventions page to see how it's properly done. --Pc13 (talk) 14:17, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of trucks[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article List of trucks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not the place for lists or repositories of loosely associated topics. Please see WP:NOTDIR.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Drives on the left (US)[edit]

Thanks from an old-timer/geezer, wrong-side-of-the-digital-divide guy, depending on your agism scale, for the assist at 'United States', adding the USVI drive on left. I get wrapped around the axel occasionally by the tag team there --- "islanders are not a part of the US, cannot be, will not be in the WP article for United States". I got my ears boxed recently, blocked a day for all of wikipedia because I tried to maintain an inclusive territories sensibility from a 'Dispute Resolution' the result of October 2012 - April 2013 discussion. An administrator reverted DR wording seven times, his confederates another two, but I was nailed for three reverts = edit war, trying to keep the islanders in the US at Wikipedia. yuk. Another confederate simply reverted the language, again without a source. Back to square one, the tag team overwhelming sourced contributions to include islanders in any capacity, now including driving side of the road ?!?! We shall see.

I continue to research and refine my presentation for a RfC. Not ready yet. The idea is that if islanders are fully US citizens and represented equally in Congress as territories have been for 220 years (well, finally ! since 1985, islanders, too !!), their children are no longer, --- as the eugenics theory of 1900 had it, proclaimed by the same Supreme Court giving us Plessy, --- their children are no longer a danger to the US, in the words of the Downes case, "civilized or savage", --- because Congress made their children US citizens -- and territorial representation in Congress (though territories will not have all the rights of states until they are admitted as states, duh). Huggle 3[edit]

Hey Seqqis! I am Petrb, one of core developers of Huggle, the antivandalism tool, which you are beta testing (according to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers). Huggle 3 beta is out - and we need more feedback![edit]

Hey Seqqis, how are you? I am Petrb, one of huggle developers, and you are currently subscribed as a beta tester of huggle on meta (meta:Huggle/Members. You may not have noticed, but this week I released first beta precompiled installers for ubuntu and microsoft windows! Wikipedia:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta has all the links you need. So if you can, please download it, test it and report all bugs that is really what we need now. Don't forgot that as it's just a beta it's unstable and there are some known issues. Be carefull! Thank you for helping us with huggle Petrb (talk) 16:25, 29 November 2013 (UTC)

Chery[edit]

Hi. I respect your opinion and your work on the automobile articles, but I don't want us to get into an edit war. I consider the layout of the template is more acceptable this way (with the segments separated in subgroups) because it is easier to understand the positioning of one particular model within the brand's range. If it is changed to a group with just the current models then it is less informative, which is not what you want from an encyclopedia. Also, the Chery International website displays them in exactly the same way (with segment subgroups). I think the navigation template should present the information from an international point of view. Thank you for reading my message and I hope we can get to an understanding. Best regards, BaboneCar (talk) 14:30, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

Edits undone[edit]

[1] [2] [3] Edits undone - unclear how this navbox relates to specific drug chemicals. --hydrox (talk) 19:31, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Okay. Maybe better target would be just add it to drug policy, since there are several thousand chemicals in existence which are regulated and we don't want add this navbox to all of them. Cheers, hydrox (talk) 19:38, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

March 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Nissan Navara may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

We need your help testing latest huggle[edit]

Hello,

I am sending you this message because you listed yourself on meta:Huggle/Members as a beta tester. We desperately need attention of testers, because since we resolved all release blockers, we are ready to release first official version of huggle 3! Before that happens, it would be nice if you could test it so that we can make sure there are no issues with it. You can download it packaged for your operating system (see Wikipedia:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta) or you can of course build it yourself, see https://github.com/huggle/huggle3-qt-lx for that. Don't forget to use always latest version, there is no auto-update message for beta versions!

Should you find any issue, please report it to wikimedia bugzilla, that is a central place for huggle bugs, where we look at them. That is i mportant, if you find a bug and won't report it, we can't fix it. Thank you for your work on this, if you have any questions, please send me a message on my talk page, I won't be looking for responses here. Thanks, Petrb (talk) 15:16, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Is Chevrolet Impala full size? If so, why is Buick LaCrosse not?[edit]

I thought we had settled this. I didn't know what the standard was but there are some really big mid-size cars out there. And yet there seems to be inconsistency on Wikipedia.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:45, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Capital Group Companies as a parent company[edit]

I noticed that you made a lot of edits updating adding Capital Group Companies as a parent company to other companies. If you read up on Parent company, you'll find that this term generally refers to companies holding at least 51% of the shares, not the 5-10% amounts that are the case here. I don't feel like checking each of your edits and doing mass-reverting; could you please revert your own edits, where applicable? Han-Kwang (t) 09:29, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

April 2014[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing on Berkshire Hathaway and other pages. Owning 5% of the shares of a publicly traded company does not make you a "parent company". Educate yourself on the terminology before you continue editing. Thank you. Owen× 10:32, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Talk page guidelines[edit]

Hey Seqqis. I should have provided you this before - please read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines - especially the section on editing other editors' comments. There is generally a header on every article Talk page that has a link to those guidelines. Sorry for not providing that earlier.~~

New huggle 3.1 is going to be released soon[edit]

Hi Seqqis, we are to release a new major version of huggle, but we did receive almost no feedback from our beta testing team, which you are a part of (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members). It would be of a great help if you could download it (if you have windows, all you need to do is getting http://tools.wmflabs.org/huggle/files/huggle3.1.0beta.exe and putting it to a folder where you have installed huggle) and test it. You can always get a help with making it @ #huggle connect!

Major changes:

  • Multisite support - you can now log in to unlimited number of wikis in 1 huggle session and get a huge queue of all edits made to these wikis. This is good for smaller projects which gets overlooked often.
  • Ranged diffs - you can select multiple revisions and get a huge diff that display all changes done to them.
  • Fixes of most of bug reports we had so far

In case you found a bug, please report it to bugzilla: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/buglist.cgi?product=Huggle&list_id=147663 thank you! Petrb (talk) 10:14, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

Saleen and Tesla Model S[edit]

Hi Seqqis,

I reverted your change to the Tesla Model S, since Tesla Motors that produces this car has no collaboration with Saleen regarding tuning of the Tesla Model S.

However, since you have up to date knowledge about the Saleen's modifications to the Tesla Model S, I wanted to suggest that you add this information to the Saleen article which is outdated in regard to Tesla. After that, the 'See Also' section of the article on the Tesla Model S can have a link to the Saleen section on the Tesla Model S. Lklundin (talk) 12:44, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Huggle message[edit]

Hey Seqqis! You are receiving this message because you are subscribed at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers

I have recently launched a new downloads for beta testers that contains nightly builds of huggle, eg. versions that are built every day from our master branch and contains latest huggle. These builds are currently provided only for Windows and Ubuntu. You can find them here: http://huggle.wmflabs.org/builds/

Please keep in mind that these don't have any automatic updates and if you download and start using nightly build, you will need to update it yourself! So don't get yourself to running old version, it's possible to install both stable and nightly huggle, which is what I suggest.

Keep the bug reports coming to phabricator: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/task/create/?projects=Huggle Many thanks! Petrb (talk) 10:02, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Territories of the United States[edit]

Thank you for the info box at Territories of the United States. Can we add the five governors to the leaders, current members of the National Governors Association?

Gov. [4] Lolo Matalasi Moliga, American Samoa

Gov. [5] Eddie Baza Calvo, Guam

Gov. [6] Eloy Inos, Northern Mariana Islands

Gov. [7] Alejandro Javier Garcia Padilla, Puerto Rico

Gov. [8] Kenneth Mapp, U.S. Virgin Islands

Thanks. TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 19:43, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

I thought about adding the governors to the infobox, but after I looked at the infobox for the british overseas territories. It seemed to have excluded them, so I didn't think adding the governors was necessary. Seqqis (talk) 19:50, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for considering it. ---- though U.S. territorial governors are elected by the local populace, not appointed by the President (since the latter 20th century) as the Queen still appoints governors of British overseas territories, it may be considered redundant. U.S. territory governors are Republican, Democratic and Independent... TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 10:28, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your recent edit on United States[edit]

Thank you for your recent edit on United States. Golbez, our administrator, is opposed to including the territories, which I find unreasonable and unsourced. There is now a mediation which has taken the subject up following an unsuccessful discussion and RfC which you have access to in Archives of Talk:United States, Archive 64 "Area in square miles" and Archive 66 "RFC on scope of the U.S." Mediation is a confidential process, but its results are reported out once the deliberations are concluded. My focus has been on the five major territories with delegate Members of Congress equivalent to DC. But of course all inhabited and uninhabited territories are referenced at Presidential Proclamation [9] and at the statute for Homeland Security definitions (14) [10].

I have developed two dozen sources supporting including the territories as a part of the United States including scholarly and governmental executive, legislative and judicial sources. The principle opposition hinges on the judicial "incorporation" doctrine of the Insular Cases, where the Supreme Court establishes a separate tax regime in the early 20th century, and an interpretation of post-WWII "self-determination" to mean secession whether or not islanders have voted 95% for political union with the U.S. in referendums. I find both grounds of exclusion unpersuasive, as sourced discussion shows. I believe in the ideal of a sourced on-line encyclopedia wp:psts, and that it should expand information available to general readers.

I hope you can stay around for the outcome of the mediation. An eight-to-three Dispute Resolution in Spring 2013 found in favor of including the territories in the introductory sentence in the same way you attempted. But the minority three reverted the addition until the others relented. I revived the discussion in Fall 2014 when another editor raised the issue of the square area of the U.S. Welcome to the fray, but remember the principle of civility, the exchanges are occasionally hot-tempered. TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 10:47, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

There's what looks like a raft of commercial promotional edits....[edit]

....for what looks like an unremarkable commercial jeep (and Jeep)adaptation for military use at Commando Jeep, and just about anywhere else it would remotely fit. I tried to give the editor the benefit of the doubt, but this really does look like blatant commercial promotion of an essentially unfielded, essentially unremarkable vehicle. The editor is claiming that it is in US military use based on a Reddit page showing one in Afghanistan, which could, of course, be contractors, spies, spooks, special ops("...but I repeat myself"), allies, reporters, non-military government agencies, foreign militaries, foreign governments, NGOs, or the manufacturer themselves, for that matter.Anmccaff (talk) 09:07, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

February 2015[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:Jeep. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. RE: Mitsubishi[edit]

Adding clutter? Who are you to decide what is clutter? The template describes a full list, including all name variants, of the worldwide lineup. If you want to make such an unnecessary change by your own decision and categorize the current models, do not delete half of what was available. I am adding them back. 99.243.38.30 (talk) 20:39, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

It's about the facts, this is the complete worldwide list of names. None other, none over. None of the four categories go over one line anyways, so clutter is non-existent. You also failed to include important models like the Zinger/Fuzion and the fact that many Pickups are also Vans. I've updated it to your liking, this should not be an issue. 99.243.38.30 (talk) 21:00, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Crimea[edit]

I'm writing to you regarding your recent reversion on Laws regarding child pornography. You said that "Ukraine's laws still apply to Crimea", however they don't. Crimea is de facto a part of Russia and functions by Russian laws not Ukrainian. Yes, the UN recognizes as a part of Ukraine but that doesn't mean that it functions by Ukraine's laws. Please see LGBT rights by country or territory as an example, as well as Ukrainian hryvnia for laws relating to currency and Time in Europe for laws relating to Time. --Leftcry (talk) 23:47, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

de-facto is another word for unofficially which applies to Russia, but doesn't apply to Laws regarding child pornography. de-jure is another word for official, which applies to the article and Ukraine, Ukrainian law still applies to Crimea, even if Crimea has been illegally annexed. Even though, Crimea currently uses Russian laws, its's still legally part of Ukraine as defined by the UN.Seqqis (talk) 00:39, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
Yes, but it doesn't use Ukrainian laws. De-facto means "concerning fact" and concerning fact Crimea uses Russian laws. All other pages concerning law, as I have provided, specify that Crimea uses Russian laws. On this article, in the Ukraine part it says "including Crimea" but that's simply not true as those laws do not include Crimea, the Russian ones do. Crimea may be recognized as a legal part of Ukraine by the UN but it doesn't change the fact that Russian laws apply there. --Leftcry (talk) 02:28, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
I moved this discussion back here just to keep it all together until it's finished, you can either delete it or move it after it's done. --Leftcry (talk) 02:33, 18 March 2015 (UTC)

March 2015[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Falkland Islands. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

U.S. lead sentence[edit]

I mentioned your earlier attempt to add modern U.S. territories to the lead sentence at United States on the Talk page, providing a U.S.G. source, backed up by six scholars. Since your effort was blocked, I stumbled on a principle of Wikipedia from the founder, Jimbo Wales. I fear the anachronistic opponents of including islanders are gaming the system. Note:

Jimbo Wales Statement of principles 3. "You can edit this page right now" is a core guiding check on everything that we do. We must respect this principle as sacred. I regret that I did not immediately support your effort earlier at the time of your copyedit. TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 14:58, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

Mitsubishi template[edit]

I'd like to ask that you stop removing the links on the Mitsubishi template as they serve a purpose. They aren't causing any harm, don't look like "clutter", and provide a complete list of every model and model variant ever sold. When you remove these, it completely destroys that. I can understand that you want it to look nicer, but I think myself and many others would agree that completeness it much better. Besides, other templates like the Dodge, Toyota and Chrysler templates all include some model variants as well.

At this point it's just getting silly. GG360 (talk) 01:05, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
