French AOC wines[edit]

Hello Sircrispin, I notice you're adding many articles on French AOC wines, and thanks for that. Just a few points:

The naming convention in English Wikipedia that has developed for AOCs under WP:WINE is mostly to use "AOC" rather than "(AOC)" and only to add it when actually needed. (We have not been entirely consistent between different countries' regions but that's another story.)
The category to use for wine AOCs is the subcategories of Category:French wine AOCs for the appropriate regions.
It's also good to include an interwiki link to the French article.

I'll have a look at your articles for a "brushup", but if you add more articles it would be good if you could keep these hints in mind. Thanks, Tomas e (talk) 17:50, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent contributions[edit]

Hello again, having started to look through your recent contributions I must say that I'm concered to see that when you have added material to existing articles, it looks like you're largely dumping machine-translated material from French Wikipedia over existing text. While this has added body text of varying quality, this has in several instances messed up "See also" sections, categories and interwiki links, and introduced section headings not in accordance with English Wikipedia's style manual. One example of this is the Moulis-en-Médoc article and this edit - check out the effects of your edit on the "bottom part" of the article! While I would like to encourage you to continute to contribute more material, could I also ask you to please check material that you machine translate and to absolutely not replace See also sections, Categories and Interwiki links with machine translated material from other language versions!
