Copyvio in WDA
Hi Sirfurboy, the edit you made here is very problematic, as you copied the information from the idependent article straight into the wikipedia article which is a clear copyright violation. Please be very careful with such edits. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 12:28, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- I am inclined to disagree. The section you deleted was clearly derivative of the independent article (thus the reference) and retained the structure, but was a small portion of the article relevant to the controversy and the only extant reference to that controversy online (the House of Commons Report is not online). I reworded somehwhat to try to present the information in a more balanced way, but I believe that the use falls within the legal definition of fair use. You no doubt disagree, so by all means chop it out, but you should not have removed the reference itself which is pertinent to the controversy. If you like, I can precis the information in some other manner - happy for your suggestions how.
