David Payne (footballer)[edit]

Hello Skamecrazy,

Thanks for reviewing Payne’s page. I’ve taken the liberty of removing the review tag, as you have now done this. I see you have applied the “copy edit” tag & I wonder if you could clarify which areas you have concerns about in this respect. Biased though I may be, :), having created the article, I can’t immediately spot the problems. Thanks. Regards, Eagleash (talk) 09:30, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Possible sockpuppet[edit]

Re Apollo 7: Sdfadf created the user page for User:Hfjsdfk, so this looks like we have a sockpuppet. I don't have much experience with administrative requests; could you please follow up on this? Thanks so much. JustinTime55 (talk) 15:19, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Han Ye-ri[edit]

Please stop reverting my edits re the 2014 Grand Bell Awards nominations (sources: [1] [2] [3]). 121.97.142.12 (talk) 15:09, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

Please read WP:CRYSTAL. Until the results have stopped being "pending", I will continue to revert them. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 15:12, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
As shown by the sources I cited, the event will take place on November 21, 2014. The Grand Bell Awards is a notable event (one of the two foremost film award ceremonies in South Korea). The nominations have already been announced (and thus verified) and only the winners are pending, so I don't think WP:CBALL is applicable in this case. 121.97.142.12 (talk) 15:22, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
Ok, point conceded. It looked like you were already giving them awards they hadn't received yet. My apologies. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 15:25, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. I've just been adding the announced nominees to the respective pages. Once the ceremony happens, I'll change "pending" to either "nominated" (if they lost) or "won," whichever applies.121.97.142.12 (talk) 15:29, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

User page vandalism[edit]

Because of the recent vandalism to your user page, I have indefinitely semi-protected the page. Let me know if for any reason you want the protection lifted, but it seems unlikely there will be any legitimate reason for a new or unregistered editor to edit the page, so I suggest leaving it as it is. What reason do you have for deleting my edit on the dispute board[edit]

I notice that you deleted an edit of mine at 03:07, 19 November 2014. In the article Dispute resolution noticeboard EROEI and I'm here to ask, why did you undue my edit? I was editing my own reply, Did you think I was vandalizing my own edit or something? Was it a mistake by you? Please give a reply in the link above. Thanks, and hey if it was an honest misunderstanding by you, no biggy, I'm just curious why you did it. 178.167.254.22 (talk) 08:36, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

It was. I thought I had gone to the next edit. I hope it hasn't messed whatever you were doing up. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 10:15, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

That's cool Ms/Mr Skamecraxy123, and no, thankfully it didn't horrendously mess what I was doing up.
Have a good one!

ANI Notice[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Appreciate your apology but I still need to report the incident attempting to delete my page because of issues with me and lack of separation of the USER from content. It is a great gesture of good faith by keeping your comment up there but it shows the underlying issue that there IS an issue and highlights the point that I have been making... that editors who have issue with user are taking it out on content and allowing it to cloud their vision. This definitely requires review.

No worries, but.... shouldn't you have created an ANI report before informing me of it? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:25, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
This is why I quote the WP:BITE rule. I'm trying to help editors with technology when they may not be aware of conference peer reviews and how many thousands of people view and review these conferences while eitors are trying to help me with wikipedia. Its hard both ways. I want this to work. Orubel (talk) 02:53, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
Let's see what the outcome of this ANI report is. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 03:11, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

Mistake?[edit]

Your edit removing Obsidi's comment on WP:ANI was a mistake, right? Tutelary (talk) 03:15, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

Yes. As was my bungled attempts to try and fix it afterwards. Apologies. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 03:16, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
Its ok, we will get it fixed in the end. --Obsidi (talk) 03:18, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

Copyeditors progress.png

Drive: Thanks to everyone who participated in November's Backlog Elimination Drive. Of the 43 people who signed up for this drive, 26 copy edited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Progress report: The November Drive removed 26 requests from the Requests page and 509 articles from the {{copy edit}} backlog. We copy edited 83 articles tagged in the target months; July, August, and September 2013. Together with tag removals from articles unsuitable for copy editing, we eliminated July 2013 from the backlog and reduced August and September's tags to 61 and 70 respectively. As of 01:01, 1 December 2014 (UTC), the backlog stood at 1,974 articles, dipping below 2,000 for the first time in the Guild's history (see graph at right). Well done everyone!

Blitz: The December Blitz will run from December 14–20 and will focus on articles related to Religion, in recognition of this month's religious holidays in much of the English-speaking world. Awards will be given out to everyone who copy edits at least one of the target articles. Sign up here!

Election time again: The election of coordinators to serve from 1 January to 30 June 2015 is now underway. Candidates can nominate themselves or others from December 01, 00:01 (UTC), until December 15, 23:59. The voting period will run from December 16, 00:01 (UTC), until December 31, 23:59. You can read about coordinators' duties here. Please consider getting involved and remember to cast you vote—it's your Guild and it doesn't organize itself!

Thank you all once again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve anything without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators Jonesey95, Baffle gab1978, and Miniapolis.

Hari Singh Nalwa (Scientist)[edit]

Isn't it customary to notify the creator of an article that is nominated for speedy deletion of the nomination? I have notified User:Ukvariar. By the way, I concur that the article provides inadequate evidence of notability, because it is written like a resume. I had been considering nominating the article for deletion at AFD. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:42, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Twinkle should have done that for me. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 21:15, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
If you were using Twinkle, it should have done that. Do you mean that you were using Twinkle? If so, the tool may not have been working correctly. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:20, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
Its sent the message to User talk:Hari Singh Nalwa (Scientist). --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 21:23, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
That may be because of the peculiar history of the page. User:Ukvariar had created it as his user page. In response to a question at the Help Desk, I moved it to draft space. (I would have moved it to article space if I were satisfied that it met the notability criteria.) Its author then moved it to article space. You then reviewed it and had concerns similar to mine about its notability, and you tagged it for speedy deletion (more drastic than what I would have done, but reasonable editors can disagree). The history may have caused Twinkle to become confused Robert McClenon (talk) 21:30, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
If you look at the user contribution page for User talk:Hari Singh Nalwa (Scientist), you will see that his only contribution was to create that page. I think that's why twinkle has chosen to inform him about my speedy deletion request. --21:35, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
Another editor has removed your speedy tag. I am planning to AFD it. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:55, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Huggle message[edit]

Hey Skamecrazy123! You are receiving this message because you are subscribed at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers

I have recently launched a new downloads for beta testers that contains nightly builds of huggle, eg. versions that are built every day from our master branch and contains latest huggle. These builds are currently provided only for Windows and Ubuntu. You can find them here: http://huggle.wmflabs.org/builds/

Please keep in mind that these don't have any automatic updates and if you download and start using nightly build, you will need to update it yourself! So don't get yourself to running old version, it's possible to install both stable and nightly huggle, which is what I suggest.

Keep the bug reports coming to phabricator: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/task/create/?projects=Huggle Many thanks! Petrb (talk) 10:02, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
