Image copyright?[edit]

Hi, I was just wondering about the copyright status on some of the images you have loaded, such as Image:Clubbuggery.jpg and Image:Sophiemonk.jpg. Most photos on the internet are copyrighted and cant be used on wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Image_use_policy#Copyright_.28images.29 for more details ---- Astrokey44|talk 14:59, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject AFL[edit]

G'day mate, at WikiProject AFL we're running plenty of stuff, including biographies on footy commentators. Any chance you could help with any of these? Rogerthat 04:08, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Johndoyle.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Johndoyle.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 23:44, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, Okay I get it[edit]

I noticed that you are reverting all of my recent changes and claiming that I vandalized articles.

Is this in response to my recent edits to the David Quinn article.

Is this something you wish to discuss, or do I need to request arbitration?

We could both pretend that we are human beings deserving of respect.

TheRingess 07:28, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, let's start over. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings regarding the Meanies. I will remove the nn-band template I stuck on.

I was recently involved in an edit war over the David Quinn article, and feelings are still running high.

Welcome to Wikipedia, I hope you enjoy creating the Meanies article and expanding it.

No hard feelings? TheRingess 07:31, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think you should go ahead and recreate the article. You might want to put the {{band-stub}} at the bottom of the page until the article has more meat.

If another editor places a speedy delete template on it, don't revert the addition, simply place the {{hangon}} template on the article, this indicates to fellow editors that you contest the nom for speedy deletion, and explain why on the talk page.

Lulu Lemon & PROD template[edit]

While you had every right to remove the template from the article the edit summary of "Reverting vandalism" is not correct. Please read Wikipedia:Proposed deletion. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 23:22, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Royandhg.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Royandhg.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Replaceable fair use Image:Greigpickhaver.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Greigpickhaver.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Longhair\talk 02:02, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Boyzvoice.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Boyzvoice.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:52, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your question[edit]

You asked "Do you ever add content or just delete stuff?" I have added lots and lots of content. I've also cleaned up some articles by deleting things that shouldn't be there. Not sure why you asked the question, but there's the answer. Wikipeterproject (talk) 16:57, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
