CCHL[edit]

Still gonna do this or what??? lol DMighton (talk) 03:29, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry got real busy with the season start-up. Two teams having IT issues and I had to get them up and running one resolved today the other still having some issues with.

Got the page up now, not 100% sure on the redirect thing though, if you could handle that for now that would be great, thanks!

I should be good from here on out. :p Thanks for checking in, the forwarded message to my email got my attention.

Hey, didn't the Lumber Kings pre-exist the CJHL? DMighton (talk) 23:05, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There was no Lumber Kings playing the first few years of the Ottawa-Hull District Junior Hockey League. The C & A's and Ironmen were the two teams playing out of Pembroke until the name Lumber Kings appeared. Trying to tie them to the Lumber Kings now. But definitely no Pembroke team of that name playing in the early years of the league, 100% certain. The Lumber King name dates back to late 1800's the Junior team is referred to as the Little Lumber Kings, working on pinpointing their start as well. But as far as the current incarnation goes, the current date is accurate, found first appearance in Ottawa Journal. I am now trying to match ownership to Ironmen if any. Afterwards I will look into linking C & A's to previous Little Lumber Kings in the previous junior leagues if needed.
Confirmed that the Pembroke Little Lumber Kings were playing in a different league when the Ottawa Hull District Junior Hockey League was in it's first few years, hence the other Pembroke teams. Once that league folded they moved over. Traced back their team to 1927, know as Junior Lumber Kings until they switched to Little Lumber Kings and finally Lumber Kings in 1964.

I wrote all the details down in my sandbox work page for Pembroke - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Slave28/_Pembroke_Lumber_Kings/doc --Slave1 (talk) 18:04, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can you stop vandalizing the Babylon 5 ccg page? There were 3 world tournaments. I am not sure why you are so caught up on erasing the third.166.171.121.39 (talk) 21:46, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stricken[edit]

The comments I left for you earlier today at the Williams article talk page have been stuck out. As a result I frustration for all kinds of reasons (most not even related to the discussion at the Williams article), I lashed out at you and should not have done so. -- Winkelvi 04:29, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, I will chalk it up as constructive criticism :) --♪ℓ☮⚔☭ⅩⅩⅧ (talk) 02:36, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Logos[edit]

You are using the wrong license... use: Non-free logo. DMighton (talk) 23:21, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also... you might want to use the fair-use rationale template here: [1] ... whatever you are using isn't working. DMighton (talk) 23:23, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
ugh ... that's gonna be a long run lol, ok thanks for the heads up, will start working on that, can you take a look at North Dundas Rockets page, I was taking off all the "XXXX establishments in" and replacing them with "Sports clubs established in XXXX" since it was like that on the Habs Leafs and Sens pages but I'm having issues with an editor about it. --♪ℓ☮⚔☭ⅩⅩⅧ (talk) 23:40, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Mindmatrix is a guru at that stuff... I would follow his lead on catagories... he is probably following a consensus policy somewhere. DMighton (talk) 23:48, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK Cool, I'll add those subsections when I am done with the logos, Thanks --♪ℓ☮⚔☭ⅩⅩⅧ (talk) 23:50, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
NP... I just want to make sure you are doing the logos right... a bunch from the CCHL and BCHL were deleted needlessly last week... probably not your fault, but annoying... you know? DMighton (talk) 00:52, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I noticed some missing out of nowhere, none that I had uploaded before I don't think, replacing the holes now --♪ℓ☮⚔☭ⅩⅩⅧ (talk) 00:54, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Arnprior Packers logo's resolution is way too low... maybe try a bigger version like this: [2]. DMighton (talk) 23:36, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good, you want to add it or should I? --♪ℓ☮⚔☭ⅩⅩⅧ (talk) 02:41, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Casselman Vikings image is a ridiculously low resolution... why bother updating them if the image you replace them with is too small to see clearly? Try [3]. DMighton (talk) 03:30, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't think resolution for the infobox was more important then accurate representation of the team's logo. I thought it was sufficient until a better version was obtained to replace them with. --♪ℓ☮⚔☭ⅩⅩⅧ (talk) 21:54, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'd rather look at an out-of-date image than one that I can barely make out... lol... that's the thing, there are better versions out there.... just do a google image search for the team's name. I'm two for two looking for them for you so far... lol. DMighton (talk) 23:57, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
East Ottawa Thunder and Gananoque are sufficient... I like to keep the image size somewhere between 150-200 pixels... I find 100 to be a little too tiny, just saying... DMighton (talk) 03:55, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The number of non-free images on this article has reached extreme levels. As of now, it is #5 on the list of articles across the entire project for the most number of non-free images [4]. The way in which these images are being used violates WP:NFLISTS, and all of them need to be removed for that reason and for failing WP:NFCC #10c which requires a rationale for each use of an item. Please remove these images. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 18:03, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:La Peche Predateurs.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:La Peche Predateurs.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
