Given the level of dysfunction that has come to prevail on Wikipedia, the most appropriate course for a principled scientist is to withdraw from the project.

The bureaucracy should either take corrective steps to fix this situation, or else suffer the eventual loss of huge amounts of valuable talent and volunteered resources.

If you agree with this statement, post it to your pages, and pass it on. (discuss this here)

Could you enable the e-mail function? I want to ask you something.--William S. Saturn (talk) 19:58, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Correct, though right now, the email link is not active - Alison 06:53, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
it might take a litle while though. I had to change email accounts a fw days ago due to spam making it imposible to use. im not sure if im allowed to just post my email address direltcly to this talkpage for you to access, but if its not then ill have to wait until they send me that notification/verificaiton email in a few hours so i can reconfirm new address. sincerest apologies for the delay my User:Smith Jones 20:00, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Any luck with that email address yet? - Alison 07:07, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
what doy ou mean by luck?? User:Smith Jones 17:01, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Progress - any progress in setting up that email address? You've had almost a month already. I'll hang on another 24 hours, then I'll post my comments here instead - Alison 22:13, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
I dont understand why you are being so snippy and mean. I have changed my email account weeks ago and reconfirmed it as part of the Wikipedias software policy weeks ago as well, and i posted here that it would have already been done in a few hours on December 8. I dont see why you are having so many problems; have you tried to send me the email since then? User:Smith Jones 22:58, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
I'm not being 'snippy and mean'. I have concerns regarding your use of multiple accounts and I've been trying avoid stating it bluntly here - Alison 23:00, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
i dont have multiple accounts and if you really wante dto avoid stating it here you can just send me an email using the email function that I activated on December. User:Smith Jones 23:02, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
I've been trying to for weeks. It only got activated just now. I refreshed the page once more and - lo - there it was ... :/ - Alison 23:03, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
sorry, it was my error. i changed the email account and reconfirmed it but i forgot to actually turn on the email function again. Sorry for lashing out ay you earlier; i compeltely understand your frustration. please, feel free to tel me if you have any more email issues with my account. User:Smith Jones 23:05, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Ok, so you're a  Confirmed sockmaster, having used DeeRD (talk · contribs) and Boomtube (talk · contribs). You were given a month to explain & once your email was activated, lied and blustered over it. When shown the evidence, you fell silent and never replied. That was days ago. Sorry, but you had every chance here. I'm blocking for a month, per checkuser, but am happy to defer to any other admin who wishes to modify that block accordingly - Alison 05:59, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alison 05:59, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
I think the one month block is very generous, considering the trolling you and your alternative accounts have been up to. Should you decide to come back, and considering your unwillingness to talk to Alison once you were busted I doubt you will, you will not continue typing with your fake, garbled typos. Clearly you can type properly, considering that you fixed one of your socks garbled posts when you realized you weren't posting using the Smith Jones persona. Also, looking through your early contributions, you do have the ability to type like a functioning person, so the disruption stops now. If you come back and continue with the garbled silliness, I'll block this account indefinitely for disruption. AniMate 21:13, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
I hate to come in late and add a procedural comment, but am I the only one disturbed that Alison felt it necessary to take this off Wiki. Isn't it Wikipedia policy to keep preceding like this verifiable and on site as much as possible. Moving Wikipedia administration into the dark is a practice I find rather disturbing.
