Hello, my name is Sontag12 and I specialize in literature. I named myself after Susan Sontag because she is a great writer and it is so sad that she is no longer with us. I enjoy reading Camille Paglia, Sontag, Arthur Miller, Truman Capote, Bob Woodward, Joyce Carol Oates, Jane Smiley, John Updike, Norman Mailer, Philip Roth, Gore Vidal and Allen Ginsburg. I enjoy the films of Robert Altman and Woody Allen, most Europian directors and think that main-stream "Hollywood" cinema needs to be given a face-lift (how 'bout giving us a plot twist we haven't already seen 100 times?). I enjoy jazz music, The Beatles (fav. post-Beatles Beatle, Paul McCartney), John Lennon (close second), Mahler, Bach, and Gershwin. I hate Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. In politics, I am an Independent. I believe in God, but I have occasional skeptisism. I think Al Franken is all right, but I prefer Bill Mahar. I am also a die-hard Simpsons fan.
