Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article FlightMemory, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of FlightMemory

An editor has nominated FlightMemory, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/FlightMemory and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:14, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome!

Virgin America

If I recall, I got the email sometime after I joined. It was vaguely when VX introduced the whole phrase but they said it would only be in effect if you joined before the end of the year. It wasn't in a recent email though. Regards, NcSchu(Talk) 19:01, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm actually guilty of never flying VX...but shhh... I'm waiting for them to come to EWR. Regards, NcSchu(Talk) 22:11, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I replied to your message on the talk page. Terraxos (talk) 01:28, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi again - yes, I added the {{Orphan}} template after seeing the link to the article higher up on this talk page. It's not a serious problem - articles lacking references or notability are far bigger problems than well-written articles that simply don't have many incoming links. (I would say this is one of those - I don't see any reason for it to be deleted.) The main problem with orphaned articles is that it's very difficult for readers to find them. So, it would be a good idea to add links to the article, if you can find any other articles in which it makes sense to mention it.

If there are no other articles at all that are related to FlightMemory, that is a bit of a problem - perhaps it would fit into one of the Lists of websites? If not, it may be that it will just have to stay as an orphaned article for the time being. Alternatively, if there are subjects related to the website that don't have their own articles yet, you could create those articles yourself and link them all to each other. Hope that helps. Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 03:50, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Stella Bonasera

Why did I get a message from you about deleting the Stella Bonasera article and why should I care? --Destron Commander (talk) 13:25, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Out of courtesy? Oh, in that case, thanks for the heads up. But really, I can't for the life of me remember working on such article. Maybe that was long long time ago and I only corrected a misspelling or something... --Destron Commander (talk) 10:17, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

CSI:NY Characters

It looks really good, in fact i might do the same thing with the Las Vegas characters when i have some more time. The only comment i have is regarding the article's name, i would name it Characters of CSI:NY, following the example of Characters of Lost. Regarding who should and who should not have it's own article...i have never in my life seen CSI:NY, but i think that that Mac guy should definitely have it's own article; the WP:LOST people have shown me that even the most unimportant character can grow and become a good article, so i don't see how the lead character could not be more than a fancrufted stub. If some character that's not exactly a main character but had some impact on the real world (like that Stella and the HIV episode) then you should consider leaving the article, great things can be built out of very few sources. I have nothing on that Hammerback, i don't even know who he is. Sorry i couldn't be of more help, but your work is really appreciated by WP:CSI!!.--Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 00:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Good Samaritan Hospital

Thanks for the copyedit, I can't believe I missed so many! Travellingcari (talk) 05:50, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

  • No problem. As I'm going through Wikipedia articles, every once in a while, I see a worthy article that needs some assistance. While so many will just walk by and ignore the article (or, even worse, try to get rid of it), I hope that by stopping to edit the article, that I can offer some of the assistance the article needs to get on its way. Scrabulous reply

Can you be more specific more this "Scrabulous" deletion. I don't really understand; I'm in the middle of hunting vandalism using an anti-vandal tool. Thanks for the comment, by the way! --Healthykid (talk) 16:22, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I see. Sorry man; I probably delete your comment(s) by accident. --Healthykid (talk) 16:39, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I figured out how I deleted your comments by accident. I was using Lupin's anti-vandal tool, and I used rollback option: the rollback option automatically revert articles or others to its earlier version, I believe. I didn't realize it, until I checked the history of the Lancashire United article. I rollbacked it, but it really reverted the article back to its original version. Check the article! Can you do me a favor: imform the other two users that warned me that I performed vandalism, but its just some kind of misunderstanding. Thank you! --Healthykid (talk) 17:13, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

CSI:NY Articles

Sorry about jumping on your case about the CSI:NY articles. When I first saw you were prodding them, my first reaction was you were indiscriminately deleting articles, which I now see is wrong. I see you really want to help and I'm glad, as it's a project I started a while back but gave up in frustration because I was tired of doing all the work myself. Cheers and good editing! If I can help in any way, just let me know. Redfarmer (talk) 19:26, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Re Prague Articles

I'm not sure about consensus but I think that parts of Prague and bridges are generally notable, there are articles for Vinohrady and Malá Strana among others, so major parts of Prague will certainly be kept. Also ask anybody on the Czech Wikiproject and asking a more seasoned editor such as Tulkolahten or Darwinek. I also invite you to join the Wikiproject, by adding your name at the bottom of this list. Sincerely, --The Dominator (talk) 15:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Just out of curiosity, who rebuffed you for asking in English? Because technically you're only supposed to speak English and I very rarely speak Czech on here and nobody was ever rude to me.--The Dominator (talk) 16:13, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Ha, well same here, I rarely write in Czech because I live in Canada and haven't done it in a while, I speak Czech on a regular basis, but rarely write, yesterday I got to write a bit of Czech, unfortunately it was with a very stubborn and ignorant vandal :(--The Dominator (talk) 16:41, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Don't Worry

I wasn't criticising. ;) Its just unusual because, if you are the only author of an article, you can have it speedy deleted by adding {{db-author}} at the top. I should thank you in fact for taking the time to learn about how to write a good article and ensuring that you maintain a good standard. In fact:

The Editor's Barnstar
I award you this barnstar in recognition of your commitment to making sure your articles meet the inclusion criteria. Spartaz Humbug! 18:09, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Thanks for the laugh

I dunno, I just always try to liven it up a bit =). It gets to repetitive to say delete, keep, weak delete, delete...you know, needs a little extra. Besides, I thought I had a good point. =D —Signed by KoЯnfan71 My Talk Sign Here! 01:21, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock of 68.193.87.155 lifted or expired.

as I attempted to make clear in my discussion with Secret, I frequently edit via an insecure wireless connection. My own fault for doing so, however it's a reliable connection for my laptop when I am at home. I have only ever edited under this account and I believe it's clear that my contributions have been good ones to the project. Travellingcari (talk) 03:32, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

You were caught in an autoblock of another user. RlevseTalk 04:16, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

It actually wasn't a mistake by the blocking admin. He blocked both the name and IP, a valid block, but you just have to have picked up the same IP, so it afffected you and anyone else that uses that IP, collateral damage. Glad to have helped out. The IP is often blocked to keep him from using it. We don't know if other wikians use it until some gets caught in the autoblock.RlevseTalk 13:08, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

2002 European floods

Thanks for the work on 2002 European floods. I added the 'Unreferenced' box because I thought the article would look better with some references. Edward (talk) 18:51, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

A minor grumble

Don't worry, this is not very serious or major, but when you list AFD's, in your edit summary on the listing page, could you please put the actual name of the article in brackets ]][[??? so we can go directly to the page itself from our watchlist? Sorry to hassle, i'm probably the only one in the world who cares lol =) -- Ļıßζېấשּׂ~ۘ Ώƒ ﻚĢęخ (talk) 03:46, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Your edit summary for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2008 January 29" was (Adding ESP Ahrue Luster)". I was only asking if you make it in future "(Adding ESP Ahrue Luster)"... it seems so silly to be asking now, I'm sory!!! -- Ļıßζېấשּׂ~ۘ Ώƒ ﻚĢęخ (talk) 04:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! -- Ļıßζېấשּׂ~ۘ Ώƒ ﻚĢęخ (talk) 04:07, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

CSI

I haven't forgotten about the CSI project--I just got caught up in another project I was working on. As you can see, I've been trying to weed out some of the useless minor character articles we have for CSI characters. After I'm done with that, I might test the waters with the regular cast members who don't have enough sources to warrant their own article, e.g. Greg Sanders or Adam Ross. Redfarmer (talk) 15:13, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Sigh* I hate to send Sid away as he's one of my favorite characters on the show (and, in my opinion, underused), but if there's no sources there's no sources. Redfarmer (talk) 21:12, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
