Luisenstädtischer Canal[edit]

Hi, the current title Luisenstädtischer Canal looks a bit strange to me. I would suggest either the German name "Luisenstädtischer Kanal", or the fully translated "Luisenstadt Canal". The later form seems to be used in English, see Google Books. Markussep Talk 13:02, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, will do. I've copied your comment and more detail response to Talk:Luisenstadt Canal so the reasoning is available to subsequent editors. -- Starbois (talk) 13:26, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Probably the same goes for Gosener Canal and Nausdorfer Canal. Markussep Talk 13:22, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bypassing redirects[edit]

Hi, there is generally no need to bypass redirects, as you did here and several other places. Please see WP:NOTBROKEN for why. --Redrose64 (talk) 12:45, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to the first ever Reading Wiki Meetup which will take place at Copa, 76-78 Kings Road, Reading, RG1 3BJ on Sunday 23 September 2012 from 1.00 pm.

I hope as many people as possible will be able to attend so that we can make this a regular event. If you have never been to one, this is an opportunity to meet other Wikipedians in an informal atmosphere for Wiki and non-Wiki related chat and for beer or food if you like. Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Berkshire related topics. Bring your laptop if you like and use the free Wifi or just bring yourself. Even better, bring a friend! Click the link for full details. Looking forward to seeing you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Glattalbahn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Stadtbahn Glattal will be moved here. The original Article has already been moved to Glattalbahn (disambiguation).

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Notice

The article Clear Fork Royalty LLC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject is a non-notable business, page is promotional. Was moved from an entirely unrelated disambiguation page to this page to avoid scrutiny.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Category:Ferries of Brandenburg indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read!
