Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello SubsonicViper, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alf melmac 20:45, 25 September 2005 (UTC).

Image Tagging for Image:BlackTiger.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BlackTiger.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

License tagging for Image:Hogannworld.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hogannworld.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:05, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Stub templates[edit]

Hi, re this edit - both these stubs are redundant. This is because {{UK-rail-stub}} puts the page into Category:United Kingdom rail stubs, and {{GreaterManchester-stub}} puts the page into Category:Greater Manchester stubs; both of these are parent categories of Category:Greater Manchester railway station stubs, which the article is already in, because it's already got {{Manchester-railstation-stub}} (which is an alias of {{GreaterManchester-railstation-stub}}). --Redrose64 (talk) 20:43, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Further to the above: concerning this edit, no stub templates are necessary, because the article isn't a stub: it's reached Start-class, see the banners on its talk page. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:50, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
I'd like to echo what Redrose says immediately above; articles such as Worsley aren't stubs and that article is actually well developed. Nev1 (talk) 20:59, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Stub[edit]

PLease do not categorise articles as stubs when they obviously aren't. Thank you--J3Mrs (talk) 20:58, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Hyde Road (speedway)[edit]

Hello, I saw that you recently created a stub about the former Belle Vue speedway track. Belle Vue Zoological Gardens already has a section on it, perhaps it would be better to add material there, and have a hatnote to it on the football ground article for anyone searching using "Hyde Road"? Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited List of current and former Super League venues, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gillingham and Etihad Stadium (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ways to improve Iffley Road (Rugby)[edit]

Hi, I'm Missionedit. SubsonicViper, thanks for creating Iffley Road (Rugby)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Anastasia (talk) 19:58, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

1895-96 Northern Rugby Football Union season[edit]

I don't understand this edit. I was under the impression that 22 clubs creted the League. No one joined during the season. I think those 22 clubs were divided into Lancashire and Yorkshire leagues. Why are you singling out a handful of them as having "joined" in the infobox?--Gibson Flying V (talk) 00:10, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Iffley Road rugby football ground[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Iffley Road rugby football ground has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Eminently non-notable football ground

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I've designed a new infobox for Challenge Cup season articles {{Infobox Rugby football league challenge cup}} as the infobox you added wouldn't allow Man of Steel to come out as Lance Todd trophy winner - the link was right but not the wording. Nthep (talk) 22:05, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Salford B&S template[edit]

Is there any way that intrusive template can be shown in its closed form when opening up the articles you have added it to? It is sometimes longer than the article and in my opinion distracting. J3Mrs (talk) 08:22, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
