Disambiguation link notification for February 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

February 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Redtigerxyz. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not inaccurate info about Khandoba and his consorts based on the TV serial Jai Mailar. As per my reading of secondary references, the Malhari Mahatmya does not say Mhalsa's mother is not named. Redtigerxyz Talk 13:36, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Aam Aadmi Party. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 17:44, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your question[edit]

I've replied here. Also, you've been posting on user pages as you did here, here, and here. You should be posting on user talk pages. It's an easy mistake to make for those new to Wikipedia - I did so years ago. --NeilN talk to me 18:49, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sumedh, please stop adding native language names, even to infoboxes. Almost always, we do not know with which language these people most associate themselves and the chances of vandalism etc are as high in infoboxes as in the lead statements. This is English Wikipedia and, really, the native names are pretty trivial information - indeed, completely meaningless squiggles to most readers. - Sitush (talk) 11:06, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Teahouse talkback: you've got messages![edit]

Hello, Sumedh Tayade. Your question has been answered at the Teahouse Q&A board. Feel free to reply there!
Please note that all old questions are archived after 2-3 days of inactivity. Message added by NeilN talk to me 21:58, 14 February 2015 (UTC). (You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{teahouse talkback}} template).[reply]

Regarding your edit [1], please do not link each word; link only relevant words. In "Auspicious Day to worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and celebrate their divine marriage", articles Shiva, Parvati and Kalyanasundara, about the marriage can be linked.--Redtigerxyz Talk 13:21, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

February 2015[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Belgaum, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sumedh Tayade, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked for two weeks for using sock puppets to evade your existing block. You are to stick to one account after this block expires, and you are warned if you attempt to get around this block by creating new accounts you will face further sanctions (including the possibility of an indefinite block or/and ban). - Mailer Diablo 00:13, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
