July 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Younge Pakistan Flag Movement has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/user/ohyesdr). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 23:26, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

AfD Nomination: Younge Pakistan Flag Movement[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Younge Pakistan Flag Movement meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Younge Pakistan Flag Movement. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Pstanton (talk) 23:39, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Younge Pakistan Flag Movement, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Younge Pakistan Flag Movement (2nd nomination). Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Tagishsimon (talk) 00:31, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Young Pakistan Flag Movement[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Young Pakistan Flag Movement requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Star Trek sub-genra[edit]

I've more than once heard TOS described as "Wagon Train, in Space!", a series melodrama. I think of it as a space opera. htom (talk) 02:41, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Issue raised[edit]

You may want to ask an admin to withdraw your complaint at ANI (and close it?) It will time out and disappear into archives, anyway, but if you launch it again it may not go well as a lever for other editors to say you are a whiner or something against you. I have been studying this process for quite a while, although I haven't participated on Wikipedia for long. It would be best to avoid the page completely if you can work it out with other editors. ANI can turn against you real quick, as I am finding out from the trolls. Best to you! 99.251.120.60 (talk) 16:53, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Space Frontier[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Space Frontier has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

of the 1400 subgenres of Science fiction, this is not one that is recognized or used by anyone other than the author of a single book (and the term is used again in the review of the book)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:18, 4 March 2014 (UTC)

I proposed a redirect and name change. But I'm not going to debate this any longer...69.165.246.181 (talk) 00:47, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Nomination of Space Frontier for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Space Frontier is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Space Frontier until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. jps (talk) 12:25, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
