January 2008[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Keilanatalk 01:20, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Translations[edit]

You can't just rely on a dictionary. You have to use some common sense while translating. That's why sites like babelfish are pointless.

  • It's Subomie, not Subomi.
  • It's "Pochama Tries Hard" and not "Pochama, Do Your Best" because it's がんばる, not がんばれ (it's the difference between "John, do it" and "John does it").
  • 再び is an adverb which is in this case modifying an understood existence verb. The most correct translations are "We're at Kurogane Gym again" or something like that. Just saying "again" is unwieldy and awkward.
  • There's nothing really wrong with saying "Elite Four" for 四天王, considering a common translation is "the Big Four" or similar.

Edit War[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bulbasaur. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. While you may not currently be involved in these continuous page moves, I have noticed that you did so a little while back. Several days ago I opened a discussion on Talk:List of Pokémon (1-20) to try and avoid an edit war. Instead of continuing to revert, please discuss the issue there instead. I am not accusing you of edit warring, I simply want all those who have been involved to take part in a mature and reasoned discussion instead of constantly merging and demerging. Re: TRR[edit]

You are now in violation of the Three Revert Rule policy per #1, #2, #3, and #4. Bear well in mind that further action will result in you temporarily banned.-- 03:42, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been reported for violating the three revert rule on List of Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl episodes. You have been repeatedly warned about edit warring. Instead of doing this, take discussions the the article's talk page, and provide actual reliable and verifiable sources for your claims. I am restoring the actual article to Urutapu's translation, who at least has provided reasoning for his translation. Please cease edit-warring. Wikipedia works through consensus, not the opinions of one editor. MelicansMatkin (talk) 02:09, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why did you move this back to its original location? TheFarix had justification; you provided no such thing. You seem to like to edit war. JuJube (talk) 01:39, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block notice[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 4 days (bearing in mind your previous block record) in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule at List of Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl episodes. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Page moves[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Global warming. Your edits appeared to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 15:51, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning.
The next time you move a page maliciously, as you did to Global warming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Tikiwont (talk) 15:53, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not move pages to inappropriate titles, as you did to Global warming. It is considered disruptive. Hut 8.5 15:54, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

March 2008[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, you will be blocked from editing. Equazcion /C 16:07, 20 Mar 2008 (UTC) 16:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not vandalizing. 1.) the sentence was a run-on, incorrect grammar 2.) the sentence about uncut-bilingual is sourceless and false. Also the person that placed that information was a IP user (Taiketsu (talk) 16:12, 20 March 2008 (UTC))[reply]
Okay. I wasn't sure, that's why I made another warning rather than a block request. You'll excuse me if a removal of a chunk of text, with no edit summary, following a blatant vandalism page move would garner people to lean towards considering such an edit as vandalism. Next time at least leave a summary. Equazcion /C 16:15, 20 Mar 2008 (UTC)
Also, it's bad form to use "etc." Will (talk) 17:33, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well it's not correct grammar to use RUN-ON SENTENCES (Taiketsu (talk) 17:34, 20 March 2008 (UTC))[reply]

I note further that the edits weren't that bad, actually - but, rather than discuss the matter on the article's talk page, you continued to revert, reverting four times in three hours. Please, in the future, discuss your concerns on the article's talk page before entering into an edit war. Thank you. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 17:38, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User: Sceptre was edit-warring to he editted the page 3 times yet i'm the one that fot blocked, he's that one that wants to keep run-on sentences and false information on the page. I'm the victim . Also i already discussed it with and Admin: Equazcion‎

Also User: Sceptre should be blocked to, also he has been removing my commits stating why i removed the information.
Also their is no source for this
It will be against the law for there to be uncut, bilingual DVDs in the United States, and only the edited TV version will be allowed to be released on DVD in America. Each new DVD will contain 3 episodes and have only the edited American TV version and Edited English Language Track., it doesn't even have to do with Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's
Also this is a RUN-ON SENTANCE ITS INCORRECT GRAMMAR
As with the previous two series, this series has been acquired by 4Kids Entertainment.[2] As such, it is expected to be significantly altered for the U.S. broadcast, including but not limited to, the changing of character names, removal of Japanese and English writing, Americanization, changing of characters' nationalities from Japanese to American, changing of music and sound effects, removal and alteration of Japanese culture, changing of Japanese yen, money and currency to American dollars, pennies, money and currency, removal and alteration of Japanese national symbols (such as the Japanese Nisshōki/Hinomaru Flag to the American Stars and Stripes Flag, heavy editing, and other alterations as well as the release of only edited DVDs by Funimation. THERE IS NO PERIOD.

Decline reason:

This was not your only instance of disruptive editing; for example you also moved Global warming to Global warming Hoax. Given your track record of previous blocks, a one-week block in this case is incredibly lenient. - Raymond Arritt (talk) 17:53, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Also about moving the Global warming to Global warming Hoax is because they proved that its false the cecaps are getting thicker, and Polar Bears population is rasing. Global warming is a conspiracy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io-Tb7vTamY - A CNN boardcast}}

Request reason:

Ok, i understand, but at least lower the duration of the block to at least 24-48 HRS. instead of a week sense (not counting the global warming page) i was trying to make the page better and removing the run-on sentences. (Taiketsu (talk) 18:12, 20 March 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Decline reason:

Sorry, no. Blatant vandalism of high profile articles, continuing after warnings. You blew it. One week is incredibly lenient here, I would have blocked you indefinitely. Consider yourself lucky. Guy (Help!) 18:48, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can't just "not count" the global warming page. You blatantly vandalized that page. This block is the result of multiple warnings over multiple different actions. This Yu-Gi-Oh incident is just the latest. I think the block should stand as-is. Equazcion /C 18:15, 20 Mar 2008 (UTC)
I've extended your block to 1 month, given your numerous prior blocks for edit-warring and the current vandalism, ongoing edit-warring, and abuse of unblock and warning templates. Please reconsider your approach; if you continue edit-warring after this block expires, then your editing privileges are likely to be rescinded indefinitely. MastCell Talk 19:11, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming MastCell's block is not expanded (because to be frank, 1 month is way too lenient given this user's history. It really should have been indefinite), I'm adding Taiketsu's talk page to my watchlist. The next time he does anything objectionable, someone notify me and I will indef block him. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Yu-Gi-OH 5Ds.JPG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Yu-Gi-OH 5Ds.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:21, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Tournament DVD cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Tournament DVD cover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
