A tag has been placed on NetFriending, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:NetFriending. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MLA 10:52, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MySpace[edit]

Hello. I've removed the speedy deletion tag from the MySpace article because it clearly asserts its notability through sourced statements about how many millions of users it has and how much press coverage it has received. Sorry, but it is notable. -- zzuuzz(talk) 11:01, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warnings[edit]

Please stop immediately. If you continue to vandalise pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Google, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —bbatsell ¿? 18:06, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Ted chou12, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for businesses.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 07:29, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Education in India, you will be blocked from editing. RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 13:19, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am not trying to promote any site or ads here, just adding some more information to the pages.

A tag has been placed on 馬康基氏瓊脂 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. nableezy - 07:28, 29 November 2009 (UTC) 07:28, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nominate to delete your own work[edit]

Hello Ted, if you want stuff deleted yourself you can add this template to the page: {{db-author}}. Blanking can work, but it is slower, because someone has to check it out on a special list to see if it was vandalism or not, and then add the tag. Then an administrator comes along and check its was a good faith nomination and deletes it! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:52, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Chuang Chi-fa has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. GB fan (talk) 10:56, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bazj (talk) 10:54, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Kkl sbl.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kkl sbl.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:06, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Western equine encephalitis incidence map.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Western equine encephalitis incidence map.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 05:37, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Oil-paper umbrella, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gifu and Wuyuan County (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Oil-paper umbrella[edit]

Thank you for your good work on the Oil-paper umbrella article. I have been doing some copyediting on the article, but I have the major problem that there are many individuals with only Chinese character names, which is not acceptable in an English language article. Can you help?--DThomsen8 (talk) 22:14, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have replaced the flag icons you created for this article with larger images. Using the {{flagicon}} template is inappropriate for this table for two reasons: it creates a redundant link to the article instead of linking to the image page, and the images are too small to be recognizable. I think the larger images are much more reader-friendly for this article. There really is no good reason to create 23 new templates just to support a single article. Replaceable fair use File:Zhongli subdivision map.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Zhongli subdivision map.gif. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. James086Talk 17:51, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
