Hi, you might want to add Nicole's Sicilian heritage to the article. And her relationship (with Paul from The Parlor Mob). Also, I think only basic tracks were recorded at Varispeed, while the album was also done at Tore Johansson's private studio. Only If you can find cites of course. The battle of the Neptunes[edit]

Jerseyphile is an accurate description, but I will admit that I don't know all the nuances about the Neptunes. There are many other name paired municipalities in New Jersey, including Freehold Borough, New Jersey / Freehold Township, New Jersey and Shrewsbury, New Jersey / Shrewsbury Township, New Jersey in Monmouth, in addition to the two Neptunes. In these cases, we have had constant confusion as to which of the pair someone is referring to when a source says "Freehold" or "Shrewsbury" or "Neptune". It's hard to tell whether the township is being referenced or the borough/city, and there is often no way to tell. Most sources don't specify Township or Borough or City appended to the name, and it is often unknowable which one a person is from, even with a source. The problem here is that there are multiple sources describing Neptune City as her hometown, and I have been unable to find a single source that says she's from Neptune Township. Even the source you provided as counterproof just says "Neptune". Atkins could clarify her place of origin or correct errors in publications that associate her with Neptune City, but doesn't seem to have done so. I don't know the geography well enough to use the video images as proof, but I would assume that you'd agree that the video and the white pages listing would not constitute the Wikipedia:Reliable sources policy. Given that there are multiple sources that say "Neptune City" explicitly, i am reluctant to remove it in the absence of anything that says explicitly otherwise (and "Neptune" alone is ambiguous). I will look for other sources either way,and I will certainly be more willing to be swayed if either of us can find a source that says "Neptune Township" using those two exact words. As of right now, it seems to me that The battle of the Neptunes is undecided. Alansohn (talk) 20:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've seen situations where sources were dead wrong, which I could only discern based on my on-the-ground knowledge of Northern Jersey. I will be continuing my search for any source that makes it clear that Atkins is from Neptune Township, not Neptune City (which as the article helpfully states is a borough, not a city). I will try to read the sources with your Monmouthite perspective. Keep in touch if you find anything new and improved. Alansohn (talk) 23:18, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
