Undo[edit]

Undo only works if the vandal made only one edit. If he makes more than one, you should revert the edit by editing a previous revision. - BANG! 22:30, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok. Thanks. TheThingy 22:36, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
From Wiki guidelines, "Community policies, including Wikipedia:No personal attacks, apply to your user space just as they do elsewhere." and "

Policy does not prohibit users from removing comments from their own talk pages, although archiving is preferred. The removal of a warning is taken as evidence that the warning has been read by the user. Deleted warnings can still be found in the page history." Insinuating Sock puppetry without proof is a personal attack. I didn't realize you are so new to Wikipedia or I would have taken a softer approach. Sorry. I don't want to scare off the newbies. ;-) -75.179.159.240 22:41, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I've been on Wikipedia for a while. But, it's ok. Well, um... I have nothing to say so... bye. TheThingy 22:43, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Unregistered users don't have talk pages. The "anon" talk pages are associated with the IP address, not with any user. Anyone who wants a talk page may register for an account, or may log into an account they already have. -Will Beback ·:· 22:46, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Joey Day, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Lil' Dice (yeah, I said it!) - talk 23:22, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Hiwikipedia.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hiwikipedia.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:10, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Hiwikipedia.gif[edit]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Hiwikipedia.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:13, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

List of Flash Cartoon Sites[edit]

Nuvola apps important yellow.svg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Flash Cartoon Sites, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of List of Flash Cartoon Sites. Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:User:TheThingy/test|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TheThingy Talk 00:52, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Larryandgrog.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:11, 7 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 02:11, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

UNDO[edit]

Please justify your removal of our recent addition to economics. We are a valid organization recognized by federal elected officials, economists, educators, and labor leaders. Your unilateral deletion is not justified. We note that there may be similarities in what we are accomplishing in Massachusetts and what you are promoting on your website. Is this the basis for your action? Your "undo" has been undone and will continue to remain unless you can make a valid case for your unilateral action. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike6491 (talkcontribs) 18:32, 30 November 2008

Speedy deletion nomination of Johanna Parker Appel[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Johanna Parker Appel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. 2. The.thing (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · edit filter log · block user · block log)

Okay, "The Thing" was blocked forever. The-thing was bocked, then unblocked. I don't know why I made the account The.thing. I'm am not using sockpuppets. TheThingy TalkWebsite 21:15, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
The problem with this situation is that our policy does not allow the use of an alternate account while your old account(s) are blocked. Your current edits don't appear to be too problematic, but I have asked for review by other admins at WP:ANI#Multiple account problem. You are invited to comment there. —DoRD (talk) 22:24, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, it's been over 24 hours and no other admins have noticed anything I haven't, so I'm considering the issue closed. I've self-reverted the redirects on your former userpages and will close the discussion at ANI. Sorry to have bothered you. If you need admin assistance with anything, I'll be glad to do what I can. Cheers! —DoRD (talk) 23:55, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Miñor.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Miñor.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:53, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Heart of Dixie - Yelawolf.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Heart of Dixie - Yelawolf.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:13, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
