Blue Blood Denim[edit]

Maintenance use only: ==Blue Blood Denim== Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Blue Blood Denim, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://www.styleceo.com/www_Blue_Blood_Denim_1229.php, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL), you can comment to that effect on Talk:Blue Blood Denim. Then you should do one of the following:

  • Make a note on the original website that re-use is permitted under the GFDL and state at Talk:Blue Blood Denim where we can find that note; or
  • Send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! SonOfMan 02:39, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Blue Blood Denim[edit]

I do not believe the original text I created was a direct copy from the cited website. Various additions from others have resulted in the article being similar to the text from the cited website. In addition, the picture is also not a copyrighted image as it is a picture of the Blue Blood logo from a pair of jeans that I own.

I suggest that we revert back to the earlier text from the earlier versions that I created. --theorb 01:19, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Richard Ekkebus[edit]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Richard Ekkebus, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Richard Ekkebus. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. The Snaap! article is not an advertisement. As discussed in the talk page, I am still trying to gather more information on the service. However, it just got started, so, can't get any more information other than the website. Please restore my article. --theorb 18:22, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Even if it wasn't an advertisement, there's still no claim of notability. I'm sorry, but this is a pretty clear example of a speedy delete. If you don't have a copy of the article on your own computer, I'd be happy to e-mail it to you. Thanks, Fang Aili talk 18:49, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Christofle.gif[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

Thanks for uploading Image:Christofle.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:38, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Fashion article on Andrew Saul[edit]

Just a heads up that Andrew Saul (ex-CEO of Cache and Brooks Bros.) has been nominated for featured article status here. Any input, comment and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, there is not that much info on him as it relates to the fashion industry, and being an !expert, I'm not quite sure how well I can flesh it out. Please feel free to comment and/or improve the article. Thanks! MrPrada 21:20, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Apologies to everyone for this notification being sent out so late, events in real life prevented me from distributing it at the time, and the Wine Project's had a bit of a lull during the Northern Hemsiphere summer. But as the nights draw in, activity should pick up again, and hopefully the next Newsletter will arrive a little more quickly....

The next few weeks are the perfect time to take photos of grapes in the Northern Hemisphere - get your cameras out! FlagSteward 16:04, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Bbr-logo.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:11, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. AfD nomination of Despondent Transponder[edit]

Circle-style-warning.svg

Despondent Transponder, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Despondent Transponder satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Despondent Transponder and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Despondent Transponder during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Cruftbane 15:59, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Despondent Transponder.jpg)[edit]

Nuvola apps important blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:Despondent Transponder.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:30, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Notability of Robert H. Lee Graduate School[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

A tag has been placed on Robert H. Lee Graduate School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. GreenJoe 16:05, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Kau Kee Restaurant[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

A tag has been placed on Kau Kee Restaurant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Printer222 (talk) 08:30, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Re: Beatallica SD[edit]

I've declined the speedy deletion of Beatallica and the album articles this time. The reason is that there are several references in the articles, which may indicate there is some notability, so this deletion isn't entirely uncontroversial. However, I feel that this band may warrant a discussion in Articles for Deletion, though I would not hold my breath - the notability of the individual articles are debatable, but they aren't covered by any of the speedy deletion criteria, so those should probably either be merged or discussed through in AfD. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 17:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Falesco[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Falesco, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable winery that does not pass WP:CORP or essay guidelines at Wikipedia:Notability (wine topics). Article written like an WP:ADVERT with lack of independent reliable sources making it difficult to craft an worthwhile encyclopedia article that would establish notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Important Wine Project discussion needs input![edit]

Hello, the Wine Project is currently in the process of hammering out a proposed policy relating to Wikipedia:Notability (wine topics). As Wikipedia and its wine coverage continues to grow, the need for a clear, concise guideline on how Wikipedia's notability policies such as WP:CORP, WP:SIGCOV and WP:NOTE relate to wine articles has emerged. Please review the proposed policy and take part in the talk page discussion Wikipedia_talk:Notability_(wine_topics)#Ready_to_go_live.3F. All input and view points are welcomed. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Information.svg Hello Theorb! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,517 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
