Article suggestion[edit]
I noticed you created a stub of Marshall Rogers (basketball) because he's a UT–Pan American alum. I have another basketball player suggestion for you: Brian Merriweather. He's also an alum of UT–Pan American and in 1998–99, he finished fourth in the nation in points per game (see here). Also, Merriweather was the nation's leading three-point field goals made per-game leader for two consecutive seasons, 1999 and 2000 (see this article).
My only request, in case you are interested in writing his article, is that you make it at least a Start Class. While Stubs are all well and good because they get the ball rolling on a topic, per se, I really think that Marshall Rogers could have gotten a much heftier article start considering he was a top NBA draft pick and NCAA scoring leader. Merriweather has been on my list of "to make" but he's very, very far down on the list, and I thought who better to make a decent article on him than you? Sound interested? - I did consider an article on Merriweather but could not really find anything on him. I have no clue what he did post UTPA (same with Greg Guy, although I see you made an article for him). Right now I am just trying to finish getting the UTPA article in proper shape for others to add to it. There is another former UTPA basketball player that I think has a better claim to an article and that is Greg Black. He played during Guy's senior year and then the year or 2 after. I am pretty sure he led the nation in steals and might have been top 10 in assists. Thevandaley
- I just did some searching for Greg Black because he wasn't an NCAA steals leader. The only hits I could find were mentions of him in Sun Belt Conference men's basketball media guides as being a co-holder of the steals in one game conference record (9), and something like #23 on the Sun Belt's all-time steals leaders list. That's about it though. He doesn't qualify for the NCAA career steals leaders article, either, because he's not in the top 25 all-time. I've got to be honest, Greg Black doesn't qualify as notable.
- Maybe I'll look a little more into Merriweather myself and see what I can dig up, but as I mentioned before he's very low priority. Anyhow, if you think there are any other UTPA men's basketball players that you might like to see if they qualify as notable, drop me a line. Jrcla2 (talk) 00:08, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Thevandaley. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
