Better source request for File:Andreatruebandw.jpg[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:11, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Raspy[edit]

Hello Tinton5,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Raspy for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. st170etalk 15:37, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

New Jersey articles[edit]

Thanks again for your note about Aserdaten, New Jersey, and the link to many yet-to-be-created New Jersey articles. I'd like to get to many listed there, though I'm focusing first on a few lost places. Please have a look at Crossley, New Jersey. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 02:01, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Delaware Route 1[edit]

I was just checking on the status of the GAN review. I noticed you added a GA icon to the article, however the review page was not updated and the talk page wasn't updated. If the article was passed, you should make sure to update all the pages. Dough4872 01:58, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Yes, I just updated them. Thanks and great work there. Tinton5 (talk) 04:34, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Marlboro, New Jersey[edit]

Hi there. I wonder if you could help me sort out a New Jersey mixup having to do with places in named "Marlboro".

According to the New Jersey Local Name Search, there are 3 places named Marlboro:

  • Marlboro, Marlboro Township, Monmouth County
  • Marlboro, Stow Creek Township, Cumberland County
  • Marlboro Township, Marlboro Township, Monmouth County

According to GNIS, there are 4 places named Marlboro:

  • Marlboro, Monmouth County (same as above)
  • Marlboro, Cumberland County (same as above)
  • Marlboro, Burlington County
  • Runnemede (variant name "Marlboro"), Camden County

My concern is that the Wikipedia links to these places is a bit messed up. For example:

...all redirect to Marlboro Township, New Jersey (in Monmouth County).

Another problem is that each of these three settlements named "Marlboro" is a unique unincorporated community, and should not be confused as being a township.

Finally, Marlboro, New Jersey seemed like an attempt to sort this all out. If you look at the edit history, it was once a disambiguation page. Unfortunately, this edit redirected that page to Marlboro Township, New Jersey (in Monmouth County).

Any help fixing this would be appreciated. Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 01:36, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

I had wanted to ask User:Famartin for his thoughts about Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey vs. Marlboro Township, New Jersey and I saw on his talk page that User:Magnolia677 had already started a discussion here. There is a GNIS entry for Marlboro in Monmouth County both under "Civil" and "Populated place". It appears that GNIS will create such paired entries for townships and other municipalities, but that almost all of these pairs are merely two different ways of referring to the exact same place. The Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey article had been converted into a standalone, after nine years as a redirect, using the GNIS entry for the populated place as the sole basis of recreating the article. Given that there appears to be no difference between these two Marlboros and given the lack of any case to the contrary, I reverted the Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey back to a redirect to Marlboro Township, New Jersey. Is there any case to be made to create separate standalone articles for such pairs of GNIS entries, especially as it would seem to be almost impossible to create a meaningful standalone article for the populated place that doesn't merely duplicate material from the article for the municipality? Alansohn (talk) 15:12, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
The article Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey has been expanded and sourced. It is a real community, and had a post office too. Have a look on ACME Maps and you can see the hamlet at the coordinates provided in the article. I have much much more to add to New Jersey! Thank you all for your help. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:42, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
I agree that GNIS has a location, but that's it. It's a one-dimensional point, not a hamlet; There are no boundaries or specifications of the area covered beyond the lot at 10 Vanderburg Road. Any of the mapping tools would show nearby highways, so that adds nothing. Marlboro Township was incorporated in 1848 and the post office that existed there was created in Marlboro Township. There seems to be no way whatsoever to distinguish Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey from Marlboro Township, New Jersey and it seems that whatever little content that was added to fluff up the community article should be merged to the township article and then the Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey article should be restored to a redirect to Marlboro Township, New Jersey. Alansohn (talk) 00:14, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
As long as there is enough information, the article should be kept since we are trying to build an encyclopedia here and giving the reader as much info as possible, but…if it is completely redundant to the main page, then a redirect would be appropriate IMHO. I will give feedback of the AfD page for Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey. I had no idea there was a "Marlboro" within Marlboro Township. Tinton5 (talk) 22:46, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
