To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Doctor Who[edit]

Thanks for telling me about the serial/episode issue on the Doctor Who article. Going by your definition though, there are a few that youve missed andd it can be ambiguous too. For example, An Unearthly Child is the name of the first episode of doctor who but its also the name of the first serial. Do you know what the solution is here? Bestbaggiesfan (talk) 20:26, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to guess italics because when most people refer to the whole serial rather than the only the first episode. Quotes would be used if one refers to the first episode alone. Transphasic (talk) 20:44, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Star Trek: Titan[edit]

Information.svg Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Star Trek: Titan, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept unsourced material or original research. This includes material lacking cited sources, material obtained through personal knowledge, or which constitutes the an analysis or interpretation by the editor that is not found in cited sources. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 22:03, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

Re: Khan Noonien Singh[edit]

I've reverted your edits to the Star Trek Into Darkness section for Khan. Since it's the character page, we don't need or want a blow-by-blow account of the plot; that's for the film article proper. The appearances section is designed to quickly run through the character's arc in the story--knowing that he kills some Klingons is largely besides the point.

Katabatic wind[edit]

Hi Transphasic, I've reverted your changes to Katabatic wind, because the names of the various winds are proper names (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Proper names.) If you consider that they should be in lower-case, perhaps you could initiate a discussion on the article's talk page, giving your reasons for the change. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 00:20, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi Transphasic, since you haven't followed my suggestion by initiating a discussion on the article's talk page, and since it does raise wider issues, I've raised the question at the Portal talk:Atmospheric sciences page. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 02:03, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Monster (disambiguation). However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, which should not end with punctuation
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a red link if used in an article, and include the "blue link"
  • Do not pipe links—keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links

April 2014[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Space Needle, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

What are you talking about? I edited the infobox to be like Willis Tower, Gateway Arch, or One World Trade Center with "United States" at the end of the location. Transphasic (talk) 00:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Gan De[edit]

The tones you put into the article on Gan De are probably those used in modern Mandarin Chinese. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.95.123.216 (talk) 11:34, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
