Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ELO Ticket to the Moon album cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ELO Ticket to the Moon album cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:04, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (File:Electric Light Orchestra Part Two.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Electric Light Orchestra Part Two.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 20:43, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Harry's War 1981 Theatrical Poster.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on File:Harry's War 1981 Theatrical Poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File source problem with File:Harry's_War_1988_Image_Home_Video_VHS_cover.jpg[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Harry's_War_1988_Image_Home_Video_VHS_cover.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:40, 28 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 23:40, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Harry's War 1981 Theatrical Poster.jpg[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Harry's War 1981 Theatrical Poster.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — ξxplicit 23:41, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 05:17, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Tony Curtis[edit]

Trying to put your paragraph into the article all the time without improving it doesn't lead anywhere, in case you haven't noticed. You must establish why this factoid would need to be in the T.C. biography (e.g., if he was a big fan of the band personally and you can give a reference for that). Otherwise it's just a fairly random event in his life without importance and therefore has no place in his article. --Morn (talk) 16:27, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

If you wish to state a case for including this information, please comment at Talk:Tony Curtis#ELO and ensure that there is consensus in favour of inclusion before adding it. Rossrs (talk) 21:42, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

Who, me? I don't want to state a case for anything here; I'm just giving TrekkiELO some concrete hints on how to proceed. I didn't think your comment at Talk:Tony Curtis made that very clear to him. --Morn (talk) 23:46, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Atari Flashback 3.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Atari Flashback 3.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:05, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Short People, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Baby Come Back (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Mr. Blue Sky: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra[edit]

TrekkiELO, I noticed you said you had purchased the CD in your recent tracklist edit. It would be interesting to know how the album is credited on the artwork/CD (on the talk page I described the album a hybrid Jeff Lynne/ELO release)? Thanks. memphisto 11:30, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

It is credited as Mr. Blue Sky The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra with all songs written, produced and performed by Jeff Lynne on its back cover--TrekkiELO (talk) 01:48, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply, should it be listed as a Jeff Lynne album rather than an ELO album? memphisto 11:02, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Re: ST III/IV[edit]

Hey, I've reverted your edits to Star Trek III and Star Trek IV. Given the global nature of Wikipedia and its emphasis on covering significant portions of the topics, we almost never include retail prices for things like home media; the only exception is if the price itself is the subject of significant commentary; for instance, The Wrath of Khan's low VHS price helped drive adoption of the format. Feel free to ping me on my talk page if you have any questions. Cheers, Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 13:08, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
