License tagging for Image:Dpac.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dpac.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:06, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey[edit]

Hey, Trodaikid1983, how's it goin'? I just wanted to drop by and thank you for your support of Denver 2008! With your help, and the help of others, we can insure Denver's victory in the bid for the DNC. I also wanted welcome you to both Wikipedia and Project Colorado, as two of my colleagues have already done. It's always great to see more Coloradans joining Wikipedia and the efforts to better editorialize Colorado-related articles. I myself am a Denver native, and can see from your user page that you happen to be residing in my hometown; so, I figured you might want to know about a couple useful userboxes: {{User Coloradan}} and {{User Denver}}. Anyhow, if you've got any questions, comments, or need any kind of help drop me a note any time. On my user page, I've networked a number of good national, Colorado-related, Denver-related, and politically charged external links which you may find useful (click here). Have a good one. Editor19841 (talk) 23:38, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

thanks[edit]

Thanks for your message. I appreciate your comments and am glad that you are on-board with Denver and Colorado related pages. I think Denver in particular is in pretty good shape, and ready to take to F.A. status. One problem that I keep seeing is bad edits that have to be changed or reverted, so I encourage you to remain vigilant in fixing those. Are there any changes you particularly had in mind? Definitely keep me updated with your ideas. I'd be glad to hear them. Vertigo700 22:48, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:CBDarea.GIF[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CBDarea.GIF. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi, Trodaikid1983, welcome to WikiProject LGBT Studies!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles of interest to the LGBT community. A couple of points that may be helpful:

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me or any other experience editor, and we will be happy to help you.

Front Range Urban Corridor[edit]

Image:FRURC.PNG illustrates what is known as the Colorado I-25 Corridor. This is not the same area as the Front Range Urban Corridor which stretches from Pueblo and Cheyenne. You could create a new article for the Colorado I-25 Corridor.

Denver 2008[edit]

I suppose you've probably heard the big news around the Mile High City lately, huh? Denver has won the bid for the 2008 Democratic National Convention!!!! The DNC will be holding our centennial convention at the Pepsi Center next year, and it happened with our support and the support of others like us. I wanted to come by and personally thank you as I have all of the supporters here at Wikipedia. It takes a real effort for things like this to happen - and we succeeded! Thank you again for your support, and if you have any further comments and discussion, you can always contact me via my talk page. See ya' at '08! Editor19841 (talk) 19:35, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Dpac.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dpac.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Announcement: If someone requests help or feedback on an article, please try your hardest to help them out if you are able. Thank you.

Project News
  • The LGBT Portal has once again been revamped and a work rota started. Efforts towards Featured Portal status are slowly coming together.
  • The assessment system has been a great success, we have tagged over 4000 articles! Please tag any LGBT related articles you come across by adding {{LGBTProject | class=}} to the talkpage. Please see the Assessment Department for how to assess an article according to the grading system.
  • The Translation department has changed its focus, to LGBT articles about non-English topics and people on which there may be more information on the relevant foreign Wikipedia. Please add your name if you are fluent in any language other than English.
  • Jumpaclass is picking up slowly, with nine people having entered. With over 2000 stubs we need to improve our article quality. Please sign up and get it going! Challenge another user to see how far you can jump a stub!
  • There is an ongoing discussion about the current LGBT categorisation system here, here, and a little bit here. A special page has now been set up here to deal with this.
  • A Watchlist has been set up to monitor controversial and/or highly vandalised articles. It can also be used for article disputes, just add a note explaining the nature of the dispute.
  • With the influx of so many active members, there is now enough support for a LGBT studies peer review, which may be found here. It's in the beta phase at the moment, so bear with us if we make any mistakes. Feel free to peer review any articles you have been working on.
  • It was agreed this month to start reducing the uses of the Notice board, as many members felt that it was not effective. An open tasks template has been created, bringing together important announcements, FAC/FARs, Peer reviews, XfDs, the COTM, and requested articles. You may desire to watchlist it. A Deletion sorting subpage is also now working to bring together XfDs - this should be bot-driven, but we have not currently tagged enough articles to make this fully automated, so please update the list with any LGBT-related XfDs you come across.

Fair use rationale for Image:KMGH logo.jpg[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KMGH logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:36, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Newscast Titles[edit]

What I have cited is WP:NOT#DIR, which says....

Directories, directory entries, electronic program guide, or a resource for conducting business. For example, an article on a radio station generally should not list upcoming events, current promotions, phone numbers, current schedules, etc., although mention of major events, promotions or historically significant programme lists and schedules may be acceptable. Furthermore, the Talk pages associated with an article are for talking about the article, not for conducting the business of the topic of the article. Wikipedia is not the yellow pages.

It covers really all directories and schedules, including newscast schedules, so that is the one that I and others cite. If you need any help, please let me know and I will be glad to help. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 09:24, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Colorado[edit]

The year 2011 has brought many changes to the State of Colorado. Several users have asked us to reactivate WikiProject Colorado. We have a new Governor and other state officers, two new U.S. Representatives, many new state legislators, and a new Mayor of Denver. Many articles about Colorado need to be updated and many Colorado places, people, and organizations need new articles. Portal:Colorado needs some new featured articles.

Can you help us? Please see our list of some requested articles. If you would like to remain an active member of WikiProject Colorado, please leave me a message at User talk:Buaidh or e-mail me at Special:EmailUser/Buaidh. If you cannot help right now, you can go to inactive status and then reactivate your status later. Thanks for any help you can provide. Yours aye,  Buaidh  17:31, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

All Wikipedians are cordially invited to the Colorado celebration of the 2011 Great American Wiknic on June 25. We will meet Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 at the D Note, 7519 Grandview Avenue in Arvada. Please e-mail Jacques Delaguerre at Special:EmailUser/Jaxdelaguerre if you plan to attend. Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject Colorado[edit]

It was recently suggested that WikiProject Colorado, to which you are a member, may be inactive or semi-active and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. After reviewing the project it appears that there haven't been much active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. I have begun a discussion on the projects talk page to see how the members of the project feel about this suggestion. Another user has added the project to the WPUS template and I added it to the list of supported projects in the WPUS main project page but before I take any further action I wanted to contact each of the active members for their input. --Kumioko (talk) 23:53, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Pride 2014[edit]

Hi Trodaikid1983. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 15:44, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
