I own a few Vanguard books, I use them often when writing Wikipedia articles, and I'd be glad to help produce a Wikipedia page on you/Vanguard. I took the J. David Spurlock page vios more seriously than most since my feeling was that someone in publishing had a particular responsibility to go by Wikipedia policies and guidelines; you're not the average newbie, who doesn't generally have a background in non-fiction writing/editing/sourcing. That said, I personally admire Vanguard's work very much; it's important for comics scholarship.

Since you're most closely associated with Vanguard than with other endeavors, and since Vanguard is so important in this field, what I would suggest is having a Vanguard article (we can always disambiguate between your Vanguard and the previous Vanguard), and include you own bio as a section within that. I'd write a basic but fleshed-out, NPOV piece, with footnotes, an awards list, etc.m that other editors can then build on. While any registered user can, of course, create an article, I wanted to run this idea by you since it would be mean renaming the existing piece, which I wouldn't want to do without first contacting the living person involved. I very much appreciate your help, Tenebrae. I have read some of your work and find it very good. While a Vanguard page would be great, I, respectfully, question the idea of combining my personal credits on a Vanguard page. I would think a page on me would include a section on Vanguard but also discuss my years of illustration work (I did the original Toon Disney logo among other things), writing credits (currently writing a book on how to draw monsters and zombies for Random House/Watson-Guptill) , years of teaching (University of Texas, Kubert School & School of Visual Arts), and work as an artist's advocate and agent (President of the Society of Illustrators in Dallas; Agent for Steranko, Infantino, Wally Wood Estate, Pat Boyette Estate; artist rights issues like the Dina Babbitt Holocaust matter; founding of scholarship funds...) Those things are not directly or necessarily related to Vanguard. Hopefully you see my point. Vanguard's credits may be a bit more obvious. I do very much appreciate your help. Vanguard Press article

re Vanguard Press: I can't edit the Vanguard Press article as I am with one of the discussed companies but, I sure hope some conscientious wiki editor will help fill in the missing link which is on the Vanguard Press trademark owned by Vanguard Productions LLC. After the original Vanguard Press was absorbed by Random House, Vanguard Productions LLC gained trademark rights to various Vanguard-related marks for publishing. Below is some info from www.vanguardpublishing.com, and various press releases that are easily verifiable online, including the settlement of Vanguard's trademark infringement suit against Perseus Books for their use the Vanguard Press name. In addition to adding a note to the Vanguard Press page re the connections.disconnections between the 3 different Vanguard Presses, it could also be appropriate to add an article on Vanguard Productions publishing endeavors as Vanguard Publishing as there is no current article by that name. Please help as, by the current Vanguard Press page only listing the old original VP and the very recent Perseus imprint, is misleading of the historical and legal facts.
