A tag has been placed on Astron-kz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Moi HIT 1.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Moi HIT -1.jpg. The copy called Image:Moi HIT -1.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 10:59, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Roman_Kim.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Roman_Kim.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:51, 1 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 11:51, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:VIA Gra Albina & Meseda.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:VIA Gra Albina & Meseda.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Moi HIT 1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Moi HIT 1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:30, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Senior juz[edit]

Dear Astron-kz, I made some amendments to the Senior juz article, I hope you will like them. Barefact (talk) 01:26, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I can translate, do you have anything specific in mind? This article can be developed into 2-3 page informative article, giving more details on present status, and historical background. There also are articles Jüz, Middle Juz, Junior Jüz, all of them lacking observational information, but that information should come with good references. 2013 population[edit]

Do you have sources for 2013 population of Kazakhstan districts?--Ymblanter (talk) 09:01, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! Here. More information here --Viplux (talk) 09:11, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thank you. May I suggest that we create a template similar to {{Kz-census2009}} and add it as a source to all the articles? I can help with the template if you want.--Ymblanter (talk) 10:43, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be great. Viplux (talk) 11:11, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Done, see here how to use it. We now need to apply it to the changes you have already made (I can help) and to those you are planning to to. In principle, we have articles about all districts and about almost all cities (those which are missing are listed on my user page; you can just give me the numbers for those missing cities so that I can add them later, when I have created the articles.--Ymblanter (talk) 11:56, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Senior juz/Great jüz[edit]

Hello Viplux,

you deleted my contribution to Senior juz (saying that its also called Great jüz).

I have no clue which translation into English is the correct one (yes, I read the notice on the talk page). But the problem is that without my addition, the article Senior juz is totally confusing for the reader: because "Senior juz" is only mentioned once, in the rest of the article always "Great jüz" is used. Also, the terms "Little jüz" and "Middle jüz" are used. So the reader is puzzled because sometimes it is juz and sometimes jüz without any explanation. And he must somehow guess that when the article says Great jüz, it's referring to the article's subject.

If you really think juz and not jüz is correct (a citation would be fine, by the way), a lot of work has to be done:

  • You have to replace all occurrences of "Great jüz" by "Senior juz" in the Senior juz article
  • You have to move Little jüz to Little juz and replace all occurrences of "jüz" by '"juz"
  • You have to move Middle jüz to Middle juz and replace all occurrences of "jüz" by '"juz"
  • Also, you have to modify all links to these articles (e.g., the links to Middle jüz in the Great juz article)

Until this is done (I will not do this) I try to solve it like this now.
