Code Geass Article Edit[edit]

Responding to this: "While I personally agree with your addition to the article, it was nonetheless biased and unnecessary. Ferocious Flying Ferrets 14:29, 15 April 2013 (UTC)"

Sorry if this is against regulations. I wrote Code Geass is "often regarded" as one of the greatest. I think this is an empirical fact actually. If you look at the pages on the cricketer Donald Bradman, or on the writer William Shakespeare, or even on Roger Federer, you will find references to them being regarded as the 'greatest of all-time' (in Federer's case, this is written "His rivalries with Nadal, Djokovic and Andy Murray making for a "Big Four", are considered some of the greatest of all time, in what is increasingly described as a "golden era" of men's tennis"). Would you edit all of these as unnecessary and biased? I find they come up on almost every page for a figure or work pre-eminent in the field, just as Code Geass is (among a few others) pre-eminent among anime. Look at the page for the anime Cowboy Bebop: "Cowboy Bebop received universal critical acclaim and is often considered to be a masterpiece." Are you planning to edit this out? Because you should be, given that you edited my change to Code Geass, and this is equally 'biased and unnecessary'.

I'm very willing to discuss this further. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 18:47, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

RE: Code Geass Article[edit]

Well I won't quibble. If you can think of a better place, you may wish to put it in yourself; I personally think that if people insist on having it on other pages then we may as well add it in where we like, provided there is good evidence. This is not some random anime we're talking about that only the two of us happen to think is one of the very best - I can't think of anyone who's watched Code Geass who wouldn't say it's at least up there. Similar to the various people I listed before.

Now I don't know about "greatest story ever told" (I wouldn't agree) but it has a great storyline indeed. If you want other anime of similar quality (in my opinion), try Death Note, Steins;Gate, Fate/Zero, Cowboy Bebop. They're the other greats for me. Probably only Death Note is quite as great as Code Geass though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 15:39, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Code Geass Article[edit]

Honestly if you imagine Code Geass is an unrivalled story I think you have a lot of exploring left to do. It is somewhat childish and disagreeable, when someone recommends you other anime you might enjoy, to respond by repeating your view that Code Geass is the best. It is great but you have not seen enough, evidently, to be so repetitively insisting that it is unmatched. Sorry if this seems rude but when I recommended you those other anime which (in my opinion) are as good as Code Geass, you responded by reiterating that Code Geass is the best - hopefully it occurs to you in hindsight that this is similar to receiving a computer for a birthday present and replying to he who gave it to you that your previous computer was the best. You clearly have most of literature (from books to films to anime) left to expose yourself to - but I would suggest that, if you have such strong views on Code Geass that you cannot stop proclaiming them, you take the time to find the citation yourself. I assure you it will not be difficult; it really is a very highly rated anime indeed. Alternatively, you could simply delete the contributions of other people even though you agree with them, and then refuse to put in the actual work to back up your view (in the form of citations), the view which ironically they were fighting for originally. It's up to you.

Well Code Geass is a lovely story. Thinking that it is peerless would suggest that objectively you still have yet to appreciate most of the world's stories but that at least is something that will come with time, so long as you recognize the need to not simply hold Code Geass as the greatest and refuse that anything could come close (which is what you initially seemed to be doing to me). It does astonish me that someone who loves Code Geass would then not include any of the other anime which usually go hand in hand with it as the greatest of all-time (Death Note and Steins;Gate) in a list of their favourite anime. However I guess that's your subjective opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 17:57, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Red links[edit]

Hi. Can I ask why you're deleting all the red links from various articles? They are considered useful for helping to grow the encyclopedia. MeegsC (talk) 15:07, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

I don't like it is a really bad reason to make an edit. I'd suggest you stop doing this, unless you can come up with a better one. Or better yet, why don't you do something more useful like writing some articles for those red links?! MeegsC (talk) 15:15, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
What an excellent idea! I would love to do that, if only I had the time to do so. Ferocious Flying Ferrets 19:28, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Well, we can only do what we have time for, of course — and I confess, I personally have little inclination to write much about parasites and plants! But someone will, some day. Meanwhile, it's good to see you're still doing a little bit here and there to try to improve things. MeegsC (talk) 15:31, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
Unfortunately, I do not own a computer. Obviously, this presents a bit of a problem. I only have time to edit while at school, and only early in the morning or while working in the library. Ferocious Flying Ferrets 19:43, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

I took out the article about Daniele Perazzi's arrest because it is fictional. The man died in 2012. This is sheer fabrication. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Truthinpublishing (talkcontribs) 15:32, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Pride 2014[edit]

Hi Vuerqex. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 18:28, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
