P!ATD song[edit]

Excuse me please! I've understood you! Maybe I wasn't right in this situation, at the next time I'll add the reference in the similar situation! With respect --93.72.76.168 (talk) 17:31, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Sorry if I interfere you, but I have a question also about the song"I Write Sins Not Tragedies", or more precisely about the music video. On the page P!ATD discography stated that this clip was shot 2006, but in the article about the song is written, that video was shot in December 2005. Do you think that it is better to fix this mistake, or leave things as they are? --93.72.76.168 (talk) 16:48, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Bradford[edit]

Thanks. I messed them up while copying the links. It needed a further fix, which I did. If you want to turn them into cite format, ok, but I usually don't bother. (partly because I don't like the emphasis it gives to newspaper article titles by making them the link) . But the mess I left it in was my own fault. DGG ( talk ) 01:37, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Dr Robert O Young[edit]

I removed the information off Wikipedia and sited 7 different reasons why and yet your site says I did not say why.

1 Legal Issues.

The facts are not true. Dr Young charges were dropped and expunged from his record. He was never charged in either case. Go back and ask court to provide you the records.

Kim Tinkham

She was never a patient of Dr. Robert O Young, she claimed that she followed his protocol but died from Liver Cancer. She wrote several emails and letters to Dr. Young thanking him for the five years that she was cancer free when she followed the program and used his recommended products. She wrote an email several weeks before her death in which she states that it is her own fault for going back to her precancerous lifestyle. Dr. Robert Young promotes an alkaline raw cuisine lifestyle with no alcohol, no dairy, no meat, no poultry, no fish, no sugar and no flour. His philosphy is simple, if you choose to eat them then your body will be in a state of acidosis. Cancer and disease can only live in acidic enviroment. Drinking alkaline water and eating alkaline diet allows your blood to increase the PH and alkalinity.

You can not blame Dr. Young for Kim Tinkhams death. She did not follow the entire program. Dr Young has thousands of patients with documented proof that follow the plan and have miraculous results. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adecoratingmom (talkcontribs) 19:09, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but...[edit]

I'm disagree with this. Yesterday i added a reference with a interview by Formula TV (one of the first website about Tv-programs and actors from Spain). I think is enough, the article isn't too long for add three or four references. Also, in the interview says the same at the article: "he is most known by the ETB sketch-program Vaya Semanita" and was in the Spanisk remake of SNL. In the first paragraph says:

El programa de ETB2 'Vaya semanita' supuso su pasaje hacia el éxito pero no era, ni por mucho, su primera incursión en el mundo del espectáculo.

In English The ETB2 program Vaya Semanita means his jump to his success, but doesn't at all his first job in the show bussiness

. In the second paragraph starts talking about the Spanish Saturday Night Live "

Desde febrero Gorka Otxoa forma parte del selecto grupo de actores que cada semana hace de 'Saturday night live' (Globomedia) una interesante oferta de humor."

In English Since Febraury, Gorka Otxoa is one of the group actors and actrees who makes of Saturday Night Live an interesting humor offer every week

. If you want more sources, i can find more in another interviews. --Ravave (talk) 08:41, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi fella, it's me again. I understand, It happens i'm surprised due to the template despite to be referenced, but maybe you right, One reference isn't enough, Fortunately this actor is very known in my country and there's many references. In this moments i'm in the Spanish Wikipedia making an article, but when i have time will be work in this too. Greetings. --Ravave (talk) 10:25, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi WikHead,

Im newbie on Wikipedia. Think this is the place to "talk." I wanted to thank you for your edits, and would appreciate any feedback that would help make the page Wikipedia-worthy.

I will be making a few other edits today, mainly related to the references. I read up on them and found that we're able to copy code in existing articles, and that's where i'm finding i'm having some trouble. BUt think i just found a way to cite two places in the article with one reference.

Thank you, that was very usefull information. In particular the Bare URL article you directed me to. I found an article Bill the Goat that has links/citations that dosn't go anywhere/work anymore. I believe that would be qualified as a "dead link/link rot". (Im not 100% sure, correct me if im wrong please.) Should i heed the same advice you gave me on the "Emergency Disconnect Package" article?
Should i look for new information to back up whats already written and cite it, use something like a "way back" archive machine to find the link and replace it, or remove and re-write new information that can be backed up? — Preceding unsigned comment added by WikiDiction (talkcontribs) 19:06, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

Page deleted[edit]

Hi WikHead,

We corresponded a few weeks back as you provided some solid guidance on the Pexco article i was working on. Since then it seems that the page has been deleted.

Here is what i found: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Pexco,_LLC

I see that the editors who were working on this/deleted this say that the sources were suspect. I remember checking the references and making sure they were not tied to the company, and disagree with some of the claims. However, if a press release ran on a reputable industry website (e.g., Plastics News or TheStreet.com), is that not considered a "reliable source" because it's communications that came from the company?

I'd really appreciate any insight and guidance on what I can do to re-start this process. Can i even? What challenges I may run into, etc. Any other recommendations? Thank you once again for your time and input!

Vartamanani Barnstar![edit]

Nature landscape Wikipedia barnstar image.jpg Vartamanani (The Present Moment) Barnstar

We find Krishna claiming in Bhagavad Gita, he knows everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come (original sloka in Sanskrit Vedaham samatitani Vartamanani cha Arjuna. Bhavishyani cha bhutani mang tu veda na kaschana (Gita 7.26)). But, I don't. I know nothing. I know only about present. That's also not entire present, only a very small part of it. Thanks for Input[edit]

Hi WikHead,

You recently shared some very helpful input (thank you!) on how I might go about reinstating an article that I was working. Here is the AfD page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Pexco,_LLC. I had a few follow-up questions that would be helpful to know before I reach out to the admin who deleted the page.

- It seems the main concern was the sources. I had included some reputable sources (e.g., TheStreet.com) that picked up press releases, but am wondering that since press releases are communications from the company itself, they are not considered valid sources...even though they are on reputable sites. Here is an example: http://www.thestreet.com/story/11664500/1/odyssey-investment-partners-acquires-pexco.html If this is the case, then my next step would be either to find alternative sources, or modify the text that I include in the article?

- Can you briefly explain the differnce between undeleting and userfying vs. incubating as a user-space draft?

- Lastly, I understand you are quite the busy Wikipedian. But should the admin agree to reinstate the article, would you be willing to work with us/me so that we can make the necessary changes so that the article is Wiki-worthy? Your guidance is solid and will be heeded.

Thank you once again!

Hi WikHead,

So I am new to Wiki's editing an such however having been always a huge fan of Wiki because its the best source for info and reliable facts as compared to others of its kind it is really the benchmark of online resource's for information, facts, definitions and so on.

So you deleted one of my articles last night and I do not blame you because you where right in doing so and I was going to edit it also because I did feel like it was no good an it was more my impatience to write new articles on wiki, an I really am not to good yet at it as you will see in what I am about to share with you for advice and constructive feedback.

I also am looking for a decent source or guide to explain or to show me how to write better articles and also edit them better an what to look for, whats suppose to be there and whats not.

I had another account but did not like the name to much it was older and I didnt have to much English edits because its hard for me to do them since I dont know all of wiki's guidelines and such, however I did have tons of Translation edits because I speak several different languages fluently. (So I use to know how to find the new ones that needed translation and edits but can not find it anymore can you please point me in the right direction thanks so much if you can)

So I wrote a new English article today about a new word that Webster added to the english Dictonary "bimble" like to bimble around for awhile.

So I was hoping you could look at it, since I know this should not be deleted even know Wiki said it had been before but I am assuming its cause it was not a recognized real word at that time as it is now, so I am hoping you can either edit it an I can learn from that or you can give me some pointers.

Well either way thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you, forgive me for the long messages I am just really looking to find someone who can help me on this an help me get editing on here i enjoy doing it whenever I get time even know I am short on time a lot these days but thanks again, an hope to hear from you soon! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pro Plans Don (talkcontribs) 17:44, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Happy 5th Birthday, with grave concern[edit]

Nuvola apps cookie.svg OMG, WikHead just turned 5 - Happy Birthday!!!
Perhaps one day maybe to late, but who cares. Unfortunately you are much too quiet now and I worry why. I hope you still breathe with a pulse. Your usual hard work and wiki brill is sadly missed here my friend. Get you ass back soon dammit, and tell us you still walk with the living. Peace always. 67.223.120.210 (talk) 23:21, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Chris Claremont photo[edit]

Hi. Can you offer your opinion in the discussion on whether to include a 1990s photograph of Chris Claremont in his article? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 22:33, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

Need Your Advice![edit]

Hi Wikihead! You've given me excellent advice in the past. I really need your input regarding a recent issue. I've been making contributions (with citations) and generally upgrading the writing on the article: Electro (music). On May 6/13 I added a relevant image to the section where sci-fi is discussed as a component of electro. The image was used in another article. Then someone (Werieth) deleted the image, citing the reason for removal as: "missing non-free use rationale's." However, the image is already in use, and has had a rational provided. I know I can use an image in multiple articles where appropriate. Where is the rule a new rational must be given for every article? The image added to the educational value and understanding of the subject matter. Please advise! (I've posted under Mayanalda in the past.)Magdalamar (talk)

Did More Research[edit]

Hi Wikihead. I did more research, and now see that because this is a non-free use, it's not so clear cut. Wikipedia generally encourages images to enhance an article. I can justify the use of the image under policy:Wikipedia:Non-free content, but since the rational has been written for another article, I don't see how I can use the same image with a new rational to fit the electro article. Too bad. This is a rare image, and explicitly fits the subject matter, thus enhancing the encyclopedic value of the article tremendously. Oh well...:-) Magdalamar (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:23, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Request to take part in a survey[edit]

Hi there. I would very much appreciate it if you could spend ~2 minutes and take a short survey - a project trying to understand why the most active Wikipedia contributors (such as yourself) may reduce their activity, or retire. I sent you an email with details, if you did not get it please send me a wikiemail, so that I can send you an email with the survey questions. I would very much appreciate your cooperation, as you are among the most active Wikipedia editors who show a pattern of reduced activity, and thus your response would be extremely valuable. Thanks! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 13:02, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

Just to let you know[edit]

You have been mentioned at Wikipedia:Missing Wikipedians. XOttawahitech (talk) 14:26, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

  • @Ottawahitech: and @Cuchullain, Graham87, SchfiftyThree, OlEnglish: (frequent posters at this talk page), I am much worried here, as you can see above. I am specially interested to learn this user's current condition because of the help he provided me when I was a newbie (in 2011). But, I have only his real name and email address (which I got after an email communication), I have emailed him, but got not any reply. I have tried searching in web with real name and email address (for Facebook etc profile), but that's not helping much. I don't know any other way to attempt to find this editor. Does anyone here know about the current condition of WikHead? Or any idea/opinion? --TitoDutta 22:11, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
As evidenced by his own reply to you. It seems he decided to take that extended wikibreak after all. I'm sure everything's alright. Sometimes people just need to step away for a while and do something else. They usually come back refreshed with a new enthusiasm for Wikipedia once they realize what they're missing out on. ;) -- œ 02:42, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
  • @Titodutta:. I completely understand wanting to stay in touch with an early mentor. But....sorry...I have no information to help in your search. Good luck. ```Buster Seven Talk 15:15, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
