Nomination of National anthem of Cornwall for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article National anthem of Cornwall is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/National anthem of Cornwall until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. The Banner talk 22:01, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

National anthem of New Zealand[edit]

I agree with what you've been doing here - and I think National anthem of New Zealand should be an article by itself, explaining how and why New Zealand has two national anthems. Then the templates can link there, without people worrying about disambiguating. StAnselm (talk) 22:36, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've gone ahead and created the article. StAnselm (talk) 09:09, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Aspiration[edit]

I'm curious to know what parts of Cumberland and Cumbria aspirate the first consonant of their county. The C would certainly be aspirated in Scouse, but I haven't heard it in my part of Cumbria except when pronounced by Scousers! There may well be more Celtic regions of the county that do aspirate. I'll listen more carefully when I'm at the other side of the county. Where have you heard it? Dbfirs 08:41, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the late response. I removed the aspiration marks. --Wikipean (talk) 09:37, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Taiwan, not Chinese Taipei[edit]

According to the official website, Taiwan is the host for Pool B, not Chinese Taipei. ludahai 魯大海 (talk) 02:51, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

British dependencies template[edit]

Wikipean,

Merge tags should not be used on templates, but instead, you should start a discussion on it at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion. I've started a discussion for you at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2013 March 3#Template:British dependencies. Please head over there and post why you think the templates should be merged. Disambiguation link notification for September 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Prime Minister of South Korea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sino-Korean (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of 조선대학교[edit]

Hello Wikipean,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged 조선대학교 for deletion, because it's not written in English. To request a translation, please visit the translation page. If you'd like to contribute to another Wikipedia, take a look at our full list of language projects.

If you feel that I made a mistake, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Imaginatorium (talk) 14:02, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I understand it. --Wikipean (talk) 23:00, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

National liberal / 3rd way[edit]

I've been trying to reason about whether the NLP is the same as the 3rd way. I'm still not completely sure - I think it might be. Any ideas on how to tell for sure? The evidence I came up with is very weak! --h2g2bob (talk) 14:49, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edits on Non-Summit and need to remove them[edit]

Hi Wikipean. Re: your edits about Korean language on Non-Summit. You have done a very good job, but it qualifies as work that you have done, not second or third party reference sources that we must use for Wikipedia articles. For instance, if someone had discussed the naming of the television show, and the various interpretations of the Korean language into English, and it had been written about in a newspaper or magazine, then you could use it as a source. Here is the page that discusses this: Wikipedia:No original research I have moved your paragraphs from the main text about the television show, and placed them at the bottom of the page, to give you a chance to remove them yourself. (P.S., I did not choose the English words Non-Summit, the television show is on Twitter and that is the English title they give it there. In general, there are several interpretations of Korean titles to English, and the variations are listed as aka on the profile, without further discussion. Let me know if you wish to discuss. Thanks.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 03:06, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
