Speedy deletion nomination of Thompson Evans[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Thompson Evans requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 03:52, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Nice work[edit]

Just wanted to give a quick compliment on the well-cited additions you made to the production history and cast of The Fighter. If only more editors were as conscientious as you! With regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 02:12, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Thompson Evans[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Thompson Evans has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No significant coverage to confirm he meets WP:BIO criteria.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Peer Review[edit]

I hate peer reviews, nobody hardly ever responds on those sometimes. :) − Jhenderson 777 23:42, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

The Mask of Zorro GA Review[edit]

Hi Wildroot,

The long wait is over, and I've begun a GA review of your nomination The Mask of Zorro. I think the film looks to be up to standard, I've mentioned a few obvious problems on the review page. I'll be going through the article line by line over the next day or two. Well done on your hard work to get it to its current good state. Best, --Ktlynch (talk) 15:05, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Re the zorro lawsuit[edit]

Maybe this interpretation of the lawsuit would be better. The courtcase did happen and I can't see why the references are dubious. The relevent section was comparing the characters and scenarios of Film and TV programme with the outcome that the TV series had used out of copyright or non copyrightable material. See this on the Zorro page. Zorro#Copyright_and_trademark. I'll look for a reply here.Thankyou.REVUpminster (talk) 22:20, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

This courtcase was relevent to the film especially in the the comparison of characters, Harrison Love and Marcus Grisham being the most obvious and the first two episodes followed almost identically the film. When it started comparisons with the comics then that was not relevant. I am keen to see what better reference you can find as I might use them. As a fan of the tv series I think it did it much better. The series was how Zorro should have been done for an adult audience.REVUpminster (talk) 09:45, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

  • I have had a go at the lawsuit. Please improve it and if you can find better cites, please do soREVUpminster (talk) 19:20, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

X-Men: The Last Stand GA Review[edit]

Hi Wildroot,

I'm sure you're delighted to hear from me again so soon, but I picked up the above review from the queue at GAN. I promise I'm not following you, rather I was interested by the film's relative complexity, and plus, I'm a fan of it. I've left a longish review here: Talk:X-Men: The Last Stand/GA2. Best, --Ktlynch (talk) 22:13, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

I wanted to talk to you about this (for greater reasons)... but I think The Last Stand is more urgent. Take a look at the review (particularly the creation of a Themes section) and see what you can do. igordebraga 00:28, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

The Dark Knight Rises[edit]

The article The Dark Knight Rises was created due to a discussion with Erik. But I know due to his discussion that Erik also wanted opinions from the rest of the task force. So I am asking you weigh in on the discussion page of the article about how you feel about it and suggestions how it should be written. Jhenderson 777 21:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Batman & Robin[edit]

If you object to adding it in the infobox, then please add your opinion to this discussion. Thanks.-5- (talk) 12:28, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hook (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Toodles (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre[edit]

Good Article Recruitment - Completion Award.png
Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).

So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:

  • Recruiters: The main task of a recruiter is to teach users that have never reviewed a Good article nomination how to review one. To become a recruiter, all you have to do is meet this criteria. If we don't get at least 5-10 recruiters to start off with (at the time this message was sent out, 2 recruiters have volunteered), the Recruitment Centre will not open. If interested, make sure you meet the criteria, read the process and add your name to the list of recruiters. (One of the great things about being a recruiter is that there is no set requirement of what must be taught and when. Instead, all the content found in the process section is a guideline of the main points that should be addressed during a recruitment session...you can also take an entire different approach if you wish!) If you think you will not have the time to recruit any users at this time but are still interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still add your name to the list of recruiters but just fill in the "Status" parameter with "Not Available".
  • Co-Director: The current Director for the centre is me (Dom497). Another user that would be willing to help with some of the tasks would be helpful. Tasks include making sure recruiters are doing what they should be (teaching!), making sure all recruitments are archived correctly, updating pages as needed, answering any questions, and distributing the feedback form. If interested, please contact me (Dom497).
  • Nominators, please read this: If you are not interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still help. In some cases a nominator may have an issue with an "inexperienced" editor (the recruitee) reviewing one of their nominations. To minimize the chances of this happening, if you are fine with a recruitee reviewing one of your nominations under the supervision of the recruiter, please add your name to the list at the bottom of this page. By adding your name to this list, chances are that your nomination will be reviewed more quickly as the recruitee will be asked to choose a nomination from the list of nominators that are OK with them reviewing the article.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along.

A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk)

Book request[edit]

I understand you own a book titled Batman Animated that details the production of the 1992-1995 animated series. I am currently hard at work trying to put together a decent candidate for the article's GA nomination and this book could make a great backbone for the development section, so I want to know if I may receive an electronic version via e-mail.

Thanks in advance, Electroguv (talk) 15:24, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
