[edit] Sandown Raceway image

Brilliant work as ever, slight problem. The version of Sandown you've depicted only came into existance in the mid 1980s. The section of turns 1, 2 & 3 is the old pitlane with the old track continuing further along the front straight, with turn 1 turning left later and heading straight for what is now turn 4. In 1984 a large infield section was created, it's depicted in the previous Sandown map with the dotted line and the corners at the top end of the circuit were different, the final corner coming onto the front straight was more of a right angle but deceptively fast and open, a bit dangerous corner really for long high speed drags down to turn 1. --Falcadore (talk) 02:53, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Horse racing track has always been there. They were built together in the early 60s that way. Temporary road sections were laid across the horse track when needed much in the same way as was done for the Adelaide street circuit which also cuts across a horse track.
These may help:

[edit] Winton Motor Raceway

Slight spelling suggestion for Shannons Straight. Refer [3] --Falcadore (talk) 20:47, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and if you are planning to do Morgan Park Raceway, check on their website, the track has been recently lengthened in a manner the satellite imagery won't show. --Falcadore (talk) 22:13, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Pacific Raceways

Could you redo the Pacific Raceways map so it can have turn numbers and all the other bells and whistles? B-Machine (talk) 14:33, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

I would like some help on Inkscape. I would like to create maps such as your's, but I'm not sure how. Will you please help me? --Nascar1996 Contributions / Guestbook 21:46, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Hey

Somebody replaced your svg map of Silverstone Circuit. B-Machine (talk) 15:11, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Morgan Park Raceway

The "F" circuit will only be the main circuit for another two weeks. The new circuit will debut on August 14. Sorry. --Falcadore (talk) 07:46, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

BTW - the 'A' circuit is the shortest, oldest circuit, turning right just after the start/finish line before linking up with corner 4 on the 'B' circuit. The missing 'C' circuit is the circuit out the back of the track using corners 4, 5 and 6 of the 'F' circuit before turning right at 7 instead of left. There is no start/finish line or pits. Also for your information, some of the corner names. Turn 4 on the 'F' circuit is called Gumtree, because of the large gum tree on the inside of the corner where the flag point is. Turn 6 is Siberia because it's the furtherst point on the track. Turn 7 is T-Junction for obvious reasons. Turns 8-13 form the Flip-flops. --Falcadore (talk) 07:59, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Hey

Could you do a map for Nelson Ledges Road Course? B-Machine (talk) 16:56, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Scandinavian Raceway

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Scandinavian_Raceway.svg Gislaved is misspelled in the svg an no 8 is called Atlas. Gislaved is renamed to Depåkurvan since a few years back.

[edit] Question

Do you know when you will be able to do track maps again? B-Machine (talk) 20:33, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Are they saying you can't do track maps because you use Google Earth as a reference? That doesn't make sense to me. Your track maps are very accurate and detailed. References should not matter. B-Machine (talk) 15:04, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Are they threatening to remove the track maps? And if you have time: 1. Your Waterford Hills Road Racing Track track map doesn't have the start/finish line. 2. Are the maps for Portland International Raceway and Brainerd International Raceway accurate? B-Machine (talk) 03:17, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
