WP:Thailand[edit]

I can't believe you. For years you said how you wished Thailand had its own wiki project and now it actually does you aren't here!!!! We need help with taggin for Thailand!! Its such a shame you don't edit here anymore ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 11:39, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

I fully understand. Its great to hear from you. Strangely enough I was just browsing some articles on Bangkok. Given the few contributors to Thai and Thai cinema articles I miss you in here very much. But if your work leaves you feeling tired then the last thing you want to do is tag a series of articles! Please do keep in contact with though as your discussion of Thai cinema in the past I found a very interesting one. Hope you can still edit from time to time though. Regards ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 20:32, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Kyaw[edit]

Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have edited much in about four months which is a shame. I hope he hasn't been affected by the Cyclone ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 11:57, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Sihanouk Films...[edit]

Howdy wise-one,
I've just returned to the 'pedia after an extended break. Thought you might like to know I recently found a DVD with three Norodom Sihanouk films - Twilight, 1969, My Village at Sunset, 1992 and The Khmer "Cid", 2005. I haven't watched them yet, but am looking forward to it. I'd be happy to post you a copy to Bangkok if you're interested. I'd better cross-post this to Baldy's page and offer him a copy so he doesn't get jealous :) Paxse (talk) 16:43, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Nattakorn Devakula[edit]

Is the actor in Soul's Code the same Nattakorn as the Bangkok governor candidate and columnist at the Bangkok Post? As he just registered as an election candidate an article on him might be forthcoming, and thus I was looking for possible inbound wikilinks and stumbled upon the one in List of Thai films. andy (talk) 12:58, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Proposal for new Manual of Style for Thailand-related articles[edit]

A drafted new version of the Manual of Style for Thailand-related articles has been started here. Still at issue are specific naming conventions for Thai royals and nobles and settlements. As a member of WikiProject Thailand, you are welcome to contribute to the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Thailand#Updating the Manual of Style (part 2). Information.svg Hello Wisekwai! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,421 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Redaktor Wikipedia 600px.png

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:56, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Dumplings 01.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Dumplings 01.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Tony Jaa[edit]

Hi! I absolutely love your blog, if you are the same person that is. :) I have significantly expanded the Hungarian article on Tony Jaa, and I'm wondering whether you think it is possible to "upgrade" the English one to FA status? The huwiki article is currently going through the FA process. This is basically "everything" one could collect without being able to read Thai, based on trustable sources (the Thai article relies on sources like forum comments). I'm curious of your opinion. 小龙 (Timish) # xiǎolóng de xìnxiāng 19:54, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Concert for Bangladesh[edit]

Hi Wisekwai. I see from the Concert for Bangladesh talk page that back in 2006 you proposed and carried out a merger of this event's original concert and film articles, and reworked the resulting article so that the majority of information on this notable event appeared under the Film and DVD sections. I'm writing now to let you know that, having added quite a bit of detail early in the article about the actual event/concert, I'm actually proposing to make the film a separate article as before. There are so many points of notability about the staging of the concert, which was quite revolutionary/pioneering at the time, and while I understand your reasoning back in 2006 (so soon after the long-overdue reissue of the film) I think there's good reason for this split − certainly I've found plenty that could still be added to a possible standalone film article to justify the change. The separation would also be consistent with the current treatment for Concert for George RAH concert, live album, and documentary film − which, I admit in the case of that 2002 event, might not be entirely necessary. With the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh, I suggest, the event was "legendary" in itself and therefore merits a detailed article in its own right. Just thought I'd let you know my intentions, as a courtesy after your great work earlier on. Regards, JG66 (talk) 09:36, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Love of Siam soundtrack.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Love of Siam soundtrack.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Princess Bride soundtrack.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:The Princess Bride soundtrack.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:44, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Amiens International Film Festival[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Amiens International Film Festival requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Epeefleche (talk) 22:08, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
