Xander4414, you are invited to the Teahouse![edit]

Teahouse logo

Hi Xander4414! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Come join other new editors at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a space where new editors can get help from other new editors. These editors have also just begun editing Wikipedia; they may have had similar experiences as you. Come share your experiences, ask questions, and get advice from your peers. I hope to see you there! Writ Keeper (I'm a Teahouse host)

Yorkshire Terrier[edit]

Hi, I'm sorry but I have reverted your edit adding an image to Yorkshire Terrier. Unfortunately the image does not really show the dog to advantage and emphasises the bed/toy instead; it also has what I think is the dog's name - "Bingo" - included in the photo. August 2014[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Hafspajen (talk) 10:04, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Xander4414, I have just reverted the edit you made to Hafspajen's user page; please do not edit other editor's user pages. Hafspajen is correct in trying to warn you that some Administrators may consider you are now edit warring on the Yorkshire Terrier article by continually trying to change the lead image in the article. The lead image is generally a quality picture of a good example of the breed in a 'stacked' pose. Dog's pet names are not used in the images. If you have any queries, please participate in the discussion on the article talk page - or as Writ Keeper suggests above, ask at the Teahouse. Another Administrator who may be able to offer some advice is Drmies who is always very helpful. SagaciousPhil - Chat 19:20, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well, I hate to be blunt, but my advice is to stop edit warring over this quite inappropriate picture or you will be blocked. And no vandalizing others' user pages either. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 19:24, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistent disruptive editing, as you did at Yorkshire Terrier. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Drmies (talk) 19:47, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
