[edit] Earl Va'a

Hey Xork. My bag is rugby dual code internationals and I'm dubious about the categorisation of Earl Va'a. Turns out he didn't make any actual appearances at the 1995 Rugby League World Cup so he won't qualify on that basis. Do you know if he made any other representative RL appearances for Samoa ? -Sticks66 13:10, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

I watched the entire 1994 Pacific League Cup in Suva, and he played for Samoa in that tournament. Obviously that is original research so let me find a reference for it, and bung it in. --Xorkl000 (talk) 00:40, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
In this sandbox is an article I'm well down the track on re DCIs. Could I get the game, date and venue of his RL Int'l debut ? If you don't have his debut I'll settle for the same detail on any of his Int'l RL appearances. BTW Do you know of any other Tonga, Samoan or Fijian DCIs that aren't categorised. ?-Sticks66 08:18, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
All I know about his international career is that he played for Samoa in the 1994 tournament in Suva. Whether that was début or not I couldn't tell you --Xorkl000 (talk) 23:02, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Thx. Can you tell me which Stadium in Suva you saw him at ? Was it Nov 1994 ? -Sticks66 00:38, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Translation of a short story

Hi! So, you are a Fijian. I hope, you could help me. I'm a Hungarain wikipedian, my name is Norbert Kiss. I wrote a really short story and now I have 121 translations about it, including Maori and Samoan. Could you make me a Fijia version? The English, the Maori and the Samoan version is here:

[edit] Myself

Ancient are my people to whom I belong, we are ancient ones, on this whole world. I speak an ancient language, the language of my own. I live in an ancient land, I’ve never lived elsewhere, and I belong here. This is me, myself. I am alone in the big world. I am alone, my nation passed away a long time ago, only I stayed. I speak my ancient language alone.

I am wandering on the road called life, I eat my bread and I drink my water alone. It is me who writes my books and I am the one who reads them. I climb the mountains behind my house; me I get the fish from the river which is in front of my house. Every day I go up to the hills to think and to meditate alone, only me on my own. While I was away, I have seen other people; some of them came to my land. I was good to them. I gave them food and drink, they could rest in my houses.

And now... strangers tell me, when they come here, what I should do, what I’m allowed to do. But here I am the landlord, I am the owner, I am the one who is at home. This is my ancient home, where my fathers and their fathers lived. This is my home, my land; I live here on my own.

[edit] Ko ahau tēnei

Nō te ao tawhito tōku iwi, nō rātou ahau, he iwi tawhito mātou, kei ngā tōpito katoa o te ao. Kei te kōrero ahau i te reo tawhito, nōku ake te reo. Kei te noho ahau i te whenua tawhito. Kua noho ahau ki wāhi kē, nō kōnei ahau. Ko ahau tēnei, ko ahau tonu. Kei te noho mokemoke ahau i te ao nui nei. Kei te noho ahau i taku kōtahi, kua ngaro noa atu tōku iwi, ko ahau anake ka noho tonu ki kōnei. Kei te kōrero au i te reo tawhito i taku kōtahi.

E hāereere ana ahau i runga i te huarahi e kiia nei ko te oranga, e kai ana ahau i taku parāoa, ā, e inu ana ahau i te wai māori i taku kōtahi. Nāku anō e tuhia āku pukapuka, ā, nāku anō e pānuitia. Ka pikitia e au ngā maunga kei muri i taku whare, nāku hoki i hī ika i te awa kei mua i taku whare. Ia rā, ia rā ka haere ahau ki ngā puke kia whakaaro ai, ā, kia wānanga ai i taku kōtahi, ko ahau anake.

I ā ahau ki wāhi kē, kua kitea e au ki ētahi atu tāngata, ka haere mai ētahi o rātou ki tōku whenua. Naku rātou i manaakitia, nāku rātou i whangaia i hōatu inu hoki, ka whakatā rātou ki āku whare.

Nāianei... ka kī mai ngā tauhou, nō reira rātou, i aha ai rātou i tae mai, me aha hoki ahau, me pēhea hoki aku mahi. Ēngari, ko ahau te kaitiaki o te whenua, nōku tēnei whenua, kei tōku kainga tonu ahau. Nōku tēnei kainga tawhito, nō kōnei ōku tūpuna. Nōku tēnei kainga, nōku tēnei whenua, ka noho ahau i taku kōtahi.

Hi. When you recently edited Belden Namah, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kina (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
