Invite to Corruption in Argentina[edit]

Hey Zfigueroa, I noticed that you edit a lot of pages related to Venezuelan politics and corruption. I spent the better part of the last two months creating the page for Corruption in Argentina, and I think it needs a fresh pair of eyes. I was wondering if you had any knowledge or interest on looking at a page on Argentina rather than Venezuela. Any chance you might be able to help? DaltonCastle (talk) 19:31, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

I may be able to. I'm looking into the corruption of governments currently. --Zfigueroa (talk) 22:47, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

This is really good work. It's making a big improvement to areas where we previously had weak (or non-neutral) content. Well done. bobrayner (talk) 23:50, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Thank you. It's tough to have a neutral point of view on an article involving corruption. --Zfigueroa (talk) 00:00, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Saw you did some work on the page. Thanks for the fresh look. I really appreciate you taking some time to help.DaltonCastle (talk) 07:14, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

A barnstar for you![edit]

For your outstanding work in the 2014 Venezuelan Protests article. Jamez42 (talk) 02:42, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Since the start of the 2014 Venezuelan protests, you have tirelessly helped to improve its article, have done a marvelous work and made over 800 edits (and counting!). I reward you with this barnstar two months after the Youth Day in Venezuela. Congratulations, you deserve it!. --Jamez42 (talk) 02:49, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

My first barnstar! Thank you for your help on the article too Jamez42. All of those pictures were needed in the article. Stay safe!
Thank you!--Zfigueroa (talk) 02:52, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Leopoldo Lopez[edit]

I recently noticed an egregious BLP violation on the Czech page of Leopoldo López found here. The content violates Wikipedia's BLP policy and the source they are using is far from reliable. I tried fixing it but I was quickly reverted. Do you think you could help me out in trying to remove this information? I noticed you contributed significantly to Leopoldo Lopez's English page so I decided to come to you for help. Thank you in advance! Hope to hear back soon. 66.215.147.124 (talk) 23:50, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

I can take a look but I have to warn you about canvassing. I will add information about him to the page since there isn't much.--Zfigueroa (talk) 00:59, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Venezuelan protests[edit]

Hi, I see that you are working at the "2014 Venezuelan protests" page with a focus on cooperation and a non-confrontational approach. Good for that. Are you pro-oposition or chavista? Or neither? I wish I could contribute more to the page but the article is very big, and I like to focus more on elections than anything else. --yeah_93 (talk) 17:53, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Welcome to the article! The article has had a lot of disputes so I try to keep things as neutral as possible. I see benefits from both positions. I have a lot of sources from what people claim are "opposition sources" but most of those sources are just for the timeline. In the case of Chavez, he did a lot of good things for the people but a lot of things went wrong during his presidency too. We're human and we aren't perfect. Enough of my spiel...
If you want to contribute to elections just look at the elections section in the article. It could use a little more if you compare it to the economic section. If you want to broaden your use of sources I suggest that you use Google Chrome as it will roughly translate what is said in Spanish sources. If you want to focus on more elections in Venezuela, I suggest that you look at the Hugo Chavez article since it seems like a lot of stuff is missing there. Again, welcome to the article and if you need any more help just ask!--Zfigueroa (talk) 19:34, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Venezuela extreme poverty[edit]

Hey. The extreme poverty in Venezuela seems to now have gone down to 5.5%. Could you find sources and update information and graphs on several articles? Thanks. I would do it myself but seeing as you did the graphs etc. and have dealt heavily with the economic articles plus probably know all the places where poverty in Venezuela is mentioned. Zozs (talk) 07:25, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

I'll take a look at it. I didn't use extreme poverty in any of my graphs, so mine should be fine. Also, I am waiting for 2013 information from both the IMF and ECLAC before my main poverty graph is revised. Any other graphs you want me to specifically look at? I'll also look for this info and possibly put it into a new article I'm creating (which I need your help with).--Zfigueroa (talk) 07:29, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the swift reply. What is the article about? Zozs (talk) 07:30, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
It is about President Maduro's economic policy. I would like you to go through it and try to make it as neutral as possible. Also, feel free to add any information you have as well.--Zfigueroa (talk) 07:33, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
Hmm. Is it not too early to go about creating such articles? Would it not focus on a too small time frame for serious analysis and research? For instance, the inflation could definitely go down soon. Zozs (talk) 07:39, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
I had the same thoughts but there too much recent information on the Economy of Venezuela article that I'm trying to move there. Some editors liked my suggestion of an individual article for President Maduro. Also, there is already a similar article concerning Obama's policies, even though he already served a full term. I agree that the inflation rate could change soon as I believe it declined slightly in May (I think). New info will be out soon and President Maduro has already been in office for a year so we can just build upon this as it goes.--Zfigueroa (talk) 07:46, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
Stuff like you have wrote at the "Health care" section seems pretty sensationalist, looking at only one side of the story, trying to spread panic, etc. to me. I don't think Venezuela is currently a paradise regarding the availability of healthcare at the current moment but I think the way you wrote that doesn't help either. You have to create an accurate view of what's actually going on there. Zozs (talk) 20:27, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
A lot of the stuff is copy edited and I forgot to mention that. Thanks for taking a look.--Zfigueroa (talk) 22:15, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
