Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Tnt tv logo old.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tnt tv logo old.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:24, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Back to the Future timeline[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

An editor has nominated Back to the Future timeline, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Back to the Future timeline (3rd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:00, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:WRQQ Classic Hits 971.gif)[edit]

Nuvola apps important blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:WRQQ Classic Hits 971.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:16, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Robert Bellar[edit]

Nuvola apps important yellow.svg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Robert Bellar, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rtphokie (talk) 00:19, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:AmSouth Bancorporation logo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AmSouth Bancorporation logo.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Prod[edit]

If a prod is removed, this means the prod is contested and should not be restored. Please don't revert someone's removal of a prod tag again. Seraphim♥Whipp 11:47, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

It doesn't matter who removes a prod and no reason has to be provided. Please understand this and don't revert prods in the future. Seraphim♥Whipp 12:04, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
You can have that attitude if you want *shrugs*. I'm not "telling you off", I'm telling you so that you can improve as a contributor. Besides which, I did evaluate the situation fully. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have known that you reverted someone's removal of the prod.

Fair use rationale for Image:Fxmlogo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Fxmlogo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Circuit City[edit]

I noticed your reverts to the chapter 11 bankruptcy. There is a discussion on the talk page of the article with an official press release to employees stating that the company was approved to liquidate in chapter 11. A blog is not a reputable source that can be used on Wikipedia. Official press releases hold much more weight. Please participate in the discussion and check the talk page sources before reverting it back to chapter 7, as the company was not liquidated in chapter 7. Chapter 7 would mean that the creditors conducted the liquidation, not the company and its liquidator buyers. DarthGriz98 15:02, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of "Uh Huh"[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

A page you created, Uh Huh, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it serves only to attack some entity. Please do not continue to create attack pages, as you will be blocked from editing.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 19:35, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that - someone had turned the talk page into an attack page, not the article page, but I nominated the article page by accident. – ukexpat (talk) 21:15, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:WRFN.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ZooFari 01:51, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Information.svg Hello Zpb52! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,991 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Chris Clark (reporter) - Find sources: "Chris Clark (reporter)" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images
  2. Coyote McCloud - Find sources: "Coyote McCloud" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images
  3. Pete Weber (broadcaster) - Find sources: "Pete Weber (broadcaster)" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images

AfD nomination of Short-lived recurring characters on Saturday Night Live[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Short-lived recurring characters on Saturday Night Live. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Short-lived recurring characters on Saturday Night Live. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Pdreid.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Non-free rationale for File:Pdreid.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Pdreid.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:First Tennessee Field artist rendering.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:First Tennessee Field artist rendering.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 14:46, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

Information.svg Hello, I'm Doniago. I wanted to let you know that I undid your recent edits to the A Christmas Story plot summary because they added a significant amount of unneeded detail.
