Ustad Jalil Zaland (Persian: جلیل زلاند) (also spelled as Ustad Zoland & استاد زولاند) (c. 1935 – 30 April 2009)[1] is a veteran singer of Afghanistan's golden music era.[2][3]
[4] He is also a poet and music composer.
He is the father of Farid Zaland, Shala Zaland, Soheila Zaland, Wahid Zaland, Mina Zaland,and Mirwais Zaland , Mahmood Zaland . He was one of the early teachers of Ahmad Wali.zaland's are from the pashtun ethnic group,zaland in pashto language means sun.
