V24 is the name of a one-design offshore powerboat. The V24 was designed by Ocke Mannerfeld, and is called V24 not for the engine configuration, which is a V8 by Volvo Penta (5.7ltr GXi), but for the supposed length of the hull, which is 24 feet (7.3 m), and its 'V' bottomed hull. The actual length of the boat is 22.5 feet (6.9 m), but V22.5 does not sound as good as V24. The V24s race primarily in Sweden. They previously raced in Norway and England, although they also race with a different engine and drive in the USA.

The V24 is a boat for one design racing. This is a type of racing that requires everyone to have the same boat and allows no modifications. This requires the winner to be the most skilled driver not just the one with the largest bankroll.
