VH1 India is a music channel in India. It was launched in 2005. In December 2004, MTV India and Zee-Turner teamed up to bring VH1 to India.[1] In India, VH1 is a 24-hour pay channel caters to the 13–35 age group.[2] VH1 promotes British music, but also airs American reality shows on Pop Stars and on Pop Stars of various countries. [3] In addition to the above, VH1 often screens music documentary and concert specials. VH1 India also telecast LIVE & Repeats of various Hollywood Award Shows such as Grammy Award, American Music Award & MTV Music Awards.

The service is available on most Indian cable networks including Animal Planet Asia, Discovery Channel Asia, Discovery Travel & Living Asia, SET India, SET Max, SAB TV, Aaj Tak, NDTV India, NDTV Profit, Headlines Today, Vh1 India, AXN, Animax India, Nick India, Discovery Turbo Asia, Discovery Science, NDTV etc.[4]

The channel is also available as a standalone on CAS networks.

Vh1 India has been the channel providing international music, pop culture and celebrity lifestyle in India, has ramped up its programming with on air and on ground initiatives, some of them being the Global Music Xpress, Dance 101, Big Brother, Vh1 Playlist, Jazz Masters, Yo Momma and tickers. In June 2011, VH1 screened a show, "100 Greatest Artists of All Time", in which The Beatles topped.
