Vaksalaskolan is a school in central Uppsala, Sweden. It caters for students from pre-school to the ninth grade. It has approximately 600 students and 30 teachers.
The school was built in the mid 1920s, in neoclassical style, and was considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Sweden. It was designed by the architect Gunnar Leche and built by the builder Anders Diös. From time to time, proposals have been made to transform the school into a concert house or administrative building. In 2001, Vaksalaskolan was declared a national cultural heritage building (byggnadsminne).[1]
The current principal is Christer Jones.
