Valentine Borremans is Director of the Center for Intercultural Documentation in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
She is mentioned by Ivan Illich in the Introduction to Deschooling Society as being credited with establishing in him the conviction that the ethos of society ought to be deschooled. From 1967 to 1971 Illich, Borremans and Everett Reimer met regularly at the Center to discuss the educational realities of Central America.
