Velika Planina

Velika planina is a karstified mountain plateau in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps to the northeast of Kamnik. It measures 58 square kilometres (22 sq mi) and has the average elevation of 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) above sea level. Its highest point is Gradišče with 1,666 metres (5,466 ft). There are numerous herders' dwellings that comprise several settlements: Velika Planina, Mala Planina, Gojška Planina, Tiha Dolina and others.
