Very small businesses (VSB) refers to companies that are at the lower end, in terms of size, to companies that are considered small and medium enterprise. The actual definition of what size companies classify as VSBs varies from region to region, but upper limit is usually considered to be 25–50 employees. Some additional terms used for businesses on the 1–5 employee level of the "smallest of small business" population: microbusiness, minibusiness, nanobusiness, home-based business, single-proprietor business, minipreneur, micropreneur, mompreneur, homepreneur, indiepreneur, small-production business, hobbypreneur, and Verysmall Business.
